Kelly, I really love to watch your content. You bring a joy to drone flying that is infectious. I enjoy the music you choose to use over the flights and in amateur radio we'd call you an Elmer -- a teacher of the next generation. I haven't been flying much the last couple of months. After my dog died, it wasn't long before another came to live with me. As with all new family members, we're learning each other's way and I'm spending my time on training. I had a chance to fly the Mavic Mini a few minutes during our Field Day expedition. I learned that it did not like flying at 6,500 feet. Regardless, I got a few stills of the site and it made for a good story and a few captures for my after action report. I suspect I'll be flying again in the fall. I might get out one of the Husban X4s and see if the dog will try to eat it. Hah!

looking at all these quads, I just want something that I can just go nuts with, but also have another model that can be used indoors, but I wouldn't need to buy multiple RTF kits for different Lil quads. totally looking forward to my quadcopter journey after being gifted a junk Deerc d10 drone, but really glad I got it. love my family to death cause it woke up a Lil part of me that says "oi, quads and drones are cool!" and I'm asking so many questions, and spent the last few hours learning and searching JUST quads and drones and different things.

You could consider the GEPRC Rocket - it's small enough to fly indoors and great outdoors as well.

The recording was on the Insta360 Go, not the goggles. I was using them, but you can’t record to them.

Hey, i hope this comment doesn't come in late, but there is a small pocket on the head straps where you can put the battery pack in, it sits on your head inside the head strap pocket that way it doesn't hang or get in the way. 😁

Like the aircraft but mine "exploded" after only a few flights during a normal Bettafilght Air Mode landing. Somewhat bumpy landing but not at all unsual. The SUPPORTS are made from NYLON and stripped out. Pieces and screws went every which way. I'm replacing them with METAL. Lost one of the camera supports during the incident. 3D Printing another one. Having to design it myself. Unable to find one online. Can't wait to get it back in the air. Really performs. Hopefully it will hold up this time after fixing the DESIGN FLAW. 2s is about as big as you want to go on this class aircraft. Have a couple 3s in this size, too awkward.

I just got this kit and it’s my first fpv drone. I am wondering how you get the footage from the drone. Do the goggles have an SD card or is it in the drone?

Actually, neither. This version doesn't have an SD card slot in the goggles. (The tinyhawk 3 goggles do.) To record the analog FPV view, I usually use a third party set of goggles, like fatshark, but for the HD video, I used the insta 360 go, mounted on top.

Hi Kelly great video what is a great drone simulator kit to buy where you get the goggles remote control and so on where I can practice and my kids can play without breaking anything. It looks like a lot of fun.

I like the Drone Racing League simulator or Liftoff. You can get both on the gaming service "STEAM" - if you are not familiar - just google STEAM GAMING and you'll find it. You don't need googles for the sim - and if you are on a PC, an XBOX controller will work - otherwise, I use a FRSKY Taranis and it works great!

Yes, but with caveats. The goggles will work with any standard analog quad. The radio will only work with specific receivers, but they are fairly common still.

I have the RTF tinyhawk II whoop.. The goggles and drone are good but the radio they provide is absolute crap but simple fix is to replace it with the $40 Betafpv Lite 2 Radio.

Kelly, hows it going, i just recieved my tinyhawk freestyle rtf kit, so far im moving along, but when i arm it it starts to bounce on the ground, idle to high is what id call it , i tried to adjust the throttle trim but it seem to get worse , so i calibrated the controller, but its just not right, when i landd it i have to slam down the switch because it will bounce every time , i been flying for a while , but this is a whole different animal, but boy it is fun! any advice?

Yes - fly it line of sight, without the goggles a few times. Really work on not bouncing - just hovering in one place. After you can do that consistently, then put the goggles back on. I hope that helps!

@@readysetdrone its when i land and the throttle is all the way down that it bounces on the ground, i flew a few times today, i just disarm it as soon as it touches ground...if not it bounces... and yes im working on line of site. i have a lot of stick time with all kinds of toy drones, i even own a mavic air , had a phantom 4 once.... but this little thing is a whole different ball game ..... lots of spunk, i only have flown it in easy/ stabilize mode... i derstand what acro is in concept... but i aint ready for that yet. i have turned on the goggles, it works fine, but i havent tried to fly fpv yet....ill get there. and thanks alot Kelly, i appreciate it... i have been a subscriber to your channel for a few years. i live out in the country, lots of open space, and im a disabeled vet. its all i have to do ..... learn. i will get there thanks again...

Hey Kelly great video, do you know how to bind to that Controller that comes in that kit? I bought the first tiny hawk and lost it. I bought a TH2 and couldn’t figure how to bind it. That would make a good video.

I think you can - what radio do you currently have? I think in my TH2 review I show where the bind button is - they are very tricky to find sometimes. I'll email my contact at EMAX to see if you can bind other TinyHawk's to this radio that comes with the RTF kit. We need to get you back in the air!

Yes, the E6 radio transmitter is D8 and will bind with any D8 quad. To bind it, there's instructions: Put the radio into bind mode by first powering on the radio and then press and hold both the throttle trim down and pitch trim down buttons for 2 seconds until a red light turns on next to the green light around the power button. Release the buttons and the red and green lights will flash indicating the radio is in binding mode.

Very nice kit. I noticed with the 360 video there was alot of jello in the camera and i also noticed it looked like a drop of water or something on the lens. Im not sure how the stability works on that camera or if it was even turned on for that flight. However makes me wonder if i might have made the mount to flimsy? Other then that the tinyhawk looked like it did very well with it attatched.

Yes, any radio that is compatible with FrSky D8 will bind. Make sure all the propellers are installed correctly -- sometimes it's easy to put them on upside down. You could also double check that the screws and nuts are tight.

Yes, diagonal is correct. Just be sure to closely check that one or more aren't literally upside down. I've done that before. You're probably fine, but I thought I'd mention it.

Ready Set Drone No kidding! LOL For some reason it’s also a little easier for me to fly outside with FPV than indoors. I feel a little more confident. Probably because I will only break my quad instead of some what-not of Ms. Sweet Tater’s. Her grandma gave her this bell collection and I almost took one of them out. I DID NOT hit it, but you’d think by the way she chewed my ass that I had hit it right on the money. That put a stop to the indoor FPV racing. Hahah I still am missing about a pound of butt cheek on that left side where she got ahold of me.

Hey Nolan - here is the reply I sent to another person who could not get their ARM switch to work. I hope this helps: Hey Jim - I didn't see an email, but, but I can offer some suggestions based on your description. First, I don't know how familiar you are with Betaflight, so forgive me if some of this seems too obvious. So you said it is bound. When you go to the "receiver" tab in Betaflight, does what you think is the "arm" switch move the bar/graphic? If so, then you need to go to "modes" and make sure the switch you want to use to arm the quad is set to the correct AUX and then make sure that one position is "in range" on the slider (armed) and one position of the button is "out of range" (disarmed). The "modes" tab is really the most important part of setting up Betaflight. Please LMK if this info is helpful.

Looks good Kelly, but a better choice IMO is the regular Tinyhawk RTF kit. Beginners would be safer with ducted props and if they have advanced past that, they will probably have a real radio and goggles and could just buy the drone by itself

Just practice hovering first - small moves with the stick - get used to the feeling - then start flying around. Also - try one of the Drone Racing Sims too!
