I toured their homes when they first opened their business in Alachua, FL back when we were neighbors. They are a wonderful family who builds quality homes w/the customer in mind! When I buy my tiny house, I will be purchasing from them b/c they are willing to work w/me to customize my build to accommodate my age, physical limitations due to my disability & my 2 senior Chihuahuas. They really pack a lot into their low cost tiny houses!! I highly recommend checking them out if you’re in the market!

I just love every episode because I take a tiny ( pun) ha - or a huge ideas from every one. I actually do like the smallness of these BUT I want a stove/oven, a small not mini refrigerator. Also- a lot of people are not liking the washer/dryer combo so I would need a stacked kind. So all in all I don’t think these would work out for me but they may be perfect for a young couple just starting out that can go without a kitchen essentially and keep cost low. That’s what I love about them. Not everyone can afford the skyrocketing prices of even some of the tiny homes nowadays. So way to go! And love the two tiered deck ! Thanks for showing me around !!! 🏡❤️💯🙏

@@leanneadams2549 they set it up for AirBnB use, which is different than living in one full time. Plus they can customize it to fit your exact needs. As far as the combo unit, I noticed that it is vented outside. I have the same one and love it. It uses heat to dry the clothes, and the moisture is vented outside. It takes less time to wash/dry than the non-vented ones. I could have put a stackable in but I opted for the combo so I could have more storage space. Some people like them and some don't. :)

I like the work you are doing. One question, though: If you pull water directly from a river, as you suggested, (for shower or sink) how to you avoid contaminating your potable water system? (Or did I misunderstand what you said, which is entirely possible). Also, just for future reference, it's a "quonset hut," not a "Kwanza hut.") They were practicallty given away after WWII and they are a mainstay on many a post-war farm or industrial site. Your builds like great and I'm impressed with your willingness to focus on the end product, not having an employee punch a clock.

@tabitha-sk5kc6 ай бұрын
This confused me too.
@reynetallents5 ай бұрын
Payload (the 8,000lbs) is different from towing capacity (probably 20,000lbs. for that model truck). Subtract 6,600 (the payload--or what the truck is Carrying), from 20,000lbs (the Max tow capacity --or what the truck is Pulling), and you get 14,400lbs. available towing capacity. Most of their homes are 10-12,000lbs, so they're within their vehicle's limits for towing.

That camper truck tiny home is pretty cool but I would have definitely put the opening for the lofted bed at the end of the bed where your feet would go because the way they have it set up by the pillows, if you're sharing the bed with someone else the person on the far side of the bed would have to climb over the other person's head to get on and off of the bed, which obviously is less than ideal to say the least.

In Europe, a piece of land like this costs no less than $500,000. The problem is not financing the house but the land. The cost of the building materials is relatively low. If you have land, building the house is no longer a big issue where you have to save money. These tiny houses are good for people who have decided to live alone.
