Tip over sensor bypass

So I'm going to try this tonight with my gsxr. Bike will crank all day but won't turn over, put it into dealer mode and only got the c23 (tos) code. This is the only video abt this issue so here I am 7 years later. Update - this solution did work. My only problem now is hitting a dear and breaking both of my legs😆

@WheelieWeasel bc you put the same amount of resistance into the connector (300 ohms) which sends power back to the ecu tricking it into thinking the sensor is still there

Thanks a lot for this video! Works like a charm on KTM Duke 690 and probably all KTM's since they all use the same tip over sensor. I'm a stuntrider and I think this sensor has been playing tricks on me. While on steep lean angles with drifts for example the engine would shut off. Hopefully this is the fix!

Is it still working? Will it work on 2001 Yamaha Fz1 Fzs1000 ? I measured the 2 outer wires and they are around 12v, do I need higher than 150 ohm resistors?

Hey I have a 1991 katana. Where would I find the tip sensor on the bike? I replaced the battery coils plugs ignition a d still no spark. This is my first bike and i dont know much about it.

Im not sure if it has a tipover sensor. Have you replaced the igniter unit?

Will this work for a 2013 zx10?? Anyone knows?? I had an accident on my bike and I believe my tip over sensor activated, the bike will try to crank but the injectors won’t spray gas to d header!!! Could this be part of the tip over sensor safety features???

I got a 2012 zx10 same issue tried a few resistors but no luck bike complains about service code 31 tip over sensor error code dont wanna go away

Why not cut the wires and wire them together ? And i have an 07 cbr 6rr that will not start i bypassed the tip over but have not tried to fire the bike up yet it has fuel prime but still wont start , i need help and guidense

Because the tipover sensor needs to see a certain resistance. If you cut and tie the wires together you are mimicking as it the bike has been laid over.

Why or how did you come to the conclusion that 1/2 watt 150ohm resistors were the correct values to use here?

At the time I did my original swap that was the info that I had gotten off line. After a few years I found out that that is actually what resistance that the ignition has.

I understand doing this for troubleshooting. But I cannot imagine why anyone would want to disable a safety feature so the bike doesn't take you on a high speed drag after tipping over.

Mike, take off your throttle lock off your brain. You can tell how long this guy's been riding. I never heard anything good about a tip over sensor and only high prices dealers charge to reset it--calling it a fuel pressure regulator. Seems counter intuitive to permanently shut off your engine that only the dealer can reset after a tow bill when you go into a deep dive turn. Yeah, fuel pressure reg.... Epoxy fixes everything duct tape cant.

But if you bypass, aren't you setting yourself up for a stuck throttle spin, or engine detonation. Just asking, because I recently had a crash, and now I hate anti lock brakes. There's nothing worse than arguing with your brakes, while watching the collision come at you!
