Surrounded by the amazing Nevilles, warmed by a loving audience, unique as a fine rough diamond...this man paved the way, setting a standard for all who would follow, in New Orleans..and 'otherwheres'

That’s the Caribbean influence showing. New Orleans music is still American music at its core, but our city has been connected to the Caribbean for a long time as well. Once you add a unique artist like Fess, you’ll get great songs just like this one.

Tipitinas is the bar in New Orleans he played at, it’s still open, it was Named after his song
@eliotguerin19210 ай бұрын
He never told us what Tipitina was, it’s a mystery. But we have a couple good guesses. It could be about a girl named Tina who Fess was very interested in. It could also just be playful nonsense. But if you listen to the original version’s lyrics, he’s singing about a woman.

Hi, I copied this from an old VHs tape I had, The show was ( & I think still is) produced by WTTW, the PBS station in Chicago. Here's a link to their website, perhaps someone there could help you. Best of luck with your doc, he definitely deserves one!www.wttw.com/
