One thing I notice that may help overall with your setup is you are running 1 counterweight kit. I run a 320G which is much lighter to begin with and after adding the maximum of 3 kits I've been able to run a 37 cubic foot capacity utility bucket without tipping. Those counterweights gave noticeable boost to traction as well, I expected the back end to burry in a lot faster with them but the added traction countered this by not spinning as much to begin with. Cheapest upgrade for the machine that makes the most difference IMO. I was able to push into a pile a lot further than without them, even with a 78inch bucket instead of the 66 inch one! Note that most all of Deere's advertising demos with these units run them will all 3 counterweights equipped to truly flex the capability of the machine. Thanks for another video. Keep safe!

Very good informative video Brock. Years ago I closed out two large hog lagoons. I can tell you that even after pumping all of the water out with an irrigation pump and hose reel over hay fields that they are still sloppy and you can get messed up quick. The 963 I used almost didn't get it all done with the bridge method. I still don't like filling in stuff like that and that job was 20 years ago. Great video.

Every situation is different, but when I fill a hole, I keep the fill dirt level in the hole higher than the ground around it. The weight of the dirt on top will pack the dirt under it. And, if I do get stuck, backing up is more downhill. I've had close calls this way, but never got stuck. You can slowly track it in afterwards. There's a thousand ways to do something, and most of them will be wrong at some point. You make your choice and take your chances! Everyone eventually finds something that works most of the time. Stick with that. Demonstrating what not to do is a good way for others to learn. Isn't that why we watch KZbin? Great video!

Time plays a factor in these situations- the dirt when first pushed in is soft but you can usually get accross but as the dry dirt become saturated it changes consistency. I have done this several times now so I have figured out that After 5 min the ground in the whole is quick sand
@thewayidoit88952 жыл бұрын
on your truck issue. availability was the problem dont beat yourself up. I'm 60 years old. Had 2 7.3 powerstrokes before my current cummins. You do need at least a 3500 with a high payload rating. Not necessarily for towing but for stopping. You want leaf springs. you really should have the Aisin. Check out some PD diesel videos. Watching him made me feel comfortable enough to buy a dually with 330k miles. Sure its needed a couple things but its been a great truck and I couldn't get anything close. Actually the lady that sold it to me had a Ford to sell as well. I think I went the right direction. "they" say that the transmission you have can be made bullet proof but your problem was a fluke. Whatever the reason a fluke. Good luck and keep us informed.

think you save my life have the same job to do 12x 15 by 10 deep on property was figuring out what to do . pump water out first by any means thank you
@eliteearthworksllc2 жыл бұрын
The best thing to do in situations like this if you can’t pump the water out is pick on side or corner and just push all the dirt from the pile to that spot. It will force most of the water out and allow you to keep working your way out on it. It’s when you started dumping buckets all around it you trapped the water in those areas. Good learning experience

That’s a great machine you have there but for further options I would hop in my ASVRT 75 and Walk On Water

We live and learn every day from first hand experience. We also learn from others first hand accounts. Their are right ways and wrong ways. Getting one those machines stuck and un stuck is not fun. I have been cleaning land with a mulcher and sunk on dry land because of an odd water table about 2ft down and wait 8hrs for a dozer to come pull me out. Now for me not having anything else to do it would have been a playing the mud thing for me and a continued work thing. Later on after you get it out you will be laughing about it with everyone. It happens sometimes. I see this a lot in the military having to go recover trucks and equipment.

Whoops 😅 I would have done the same thing man. I probably would have dug a trench with the backhoe first though. Got a wireless remote for your badlands winch? Hook it up to your truck and winch as you run the machine? Kinda curious how your going to get it out with what you have. Maybe you’ll get a wrecker? Lol or a bigger tractor from down the road?
