All in all, definitely my favorite marker/gun so far I've seen. It has everything I want, plus with all the unlimited mods you can do to it. Its got lots of power, reliability, user friendly, easy to work on, on top of it, capable of even being great home protection. Awesome.

I would beg to differ on the MCS front. I use the hurricane, which uses the X7 phenom internals, and it will out shoot a dye dam and day of the week for under half the price. It takes the reliability of the spool valve system and gives you a fully pnuematic/ electromechanical trigger options. Maintenance is super easy too, take the stock off, loosen two hex screws a bit, and the entire spool valve comes out the back. The mags are the weakest point of the MCS system, and I hope that they come out with a TMC mag conversion for those markers.

Tippmann needs a high end magfed gun badly. FSR ready, mechanical full auto using a better air system. I would love to see a X7 phenom magfed and have customization options like the x7. I know MCS has the hurricane but it would be nice to have no gap.

What I would have loved to see with the Stormer (magfed version) is a mag housing that you can take out with push pin instead of screws, thus making the bolt easily accessible for cleaning if you ever had a chop

Funny you say that I had my first chop today kinda killed my mood a bit. 4 mags straight I was basically splattering all over. I think it was because I usually only put 19 in the 20 round mag but it’s always a tight squeeze for the 20 but today I pushed it 😂 I had to miss a couple games to clean my marker and switch to my hopper.

Bruh the MCS are clamshells that take Tippmann 98 internals (same as the TMC), TMC and Stormer arent FSR ready like MCS Blizzard..and you upgrade the TIPX with TCR internals not other way around

I haven't played paintball in a few years, I switched to Speedsoft which is paintball with a airsoft gun that being said I liked the realism of the magfed paintball guns but they always seemed impractical and that's why I got into airsoft so when and where are these magfed or even that new shotgun paintball marker practical

I guess The Whole point of Mag fed Realistic style PB is to get as close or as safe as possible to realistic combat scenario and feel. They are not really designed for Speedball style competition it seems(hopper fed and increased rounds). However this seems to be the most cost effective way for someone to start or transition to both on the fly.

The ones I have put together never fit correct, they are made awfully. I bought 7 Vortex bodies and 2 of them worked. The company it self is super confusing and I would never buy anything from them again.

Aidan Speidel IDK if he will answer this but just in case the answer is yes there are lots of less expensive barrels out there that will preform virtually identical to a freak kit most days. Custom Products makes really solid 1 piece barrels that are only $30 and you can order in 3 different bite sizes, like 4 different lengths, two different finishes, and a ton of different colors. And idk what gun you’ve got but most mid range speedball guns come with solid barrels right outta the box. I definitely recommend cheeping out on the barrel and prioritizing getting solid hopper and tank. There is very little performance difference between that $30 CP barrel and a $100-200 barrel kit.

The mini gs barrel isn't that great and I want a barrel that'll last forever and with the changes in paintball sizes. That's why I though buying a freak jr. kit with a .689, .687, .684, and .682 will just last till the end of time

@Spider 54 Yeah in that case I’d say go for it. Going with the junior kit will get you the three inserts you use the most, and then if you need any more you can pick up the sizes you want for $15-$20. Yeah the mini barrel isn’t the best, so the upgrade will definitely be nice at your point.

With barrels, as long as it’s at least 12”, there’s a decent amount of porting, and the inside of the barrel is smooth and shiny, it’ll shoot accurately (and quiet) with good paint. There’s not any cheaper barrel kits than the freak junior. There are some others that are the same price. But don’t be afraid to buy used. Just make sure the inside of the barrel is shiny and not scratched up.

If nerf has jolt reskins, tippmann has 98 reskins But honestly tho, stormer is a great Idea, i just don’t see it being truly successful for budget friendly when there’s the TMC in itself already is budget friendly marker. Tippmann’s competing with it’s own line up, what they should have made is a budget friendly less bulky but a bit less upgradable pistol to match the FSC.

i just picked up a custom products 14 inch for mine, you do have to dremel out the shroud to get it to fit. it wasn't a huge deal but any barrel will give better performance as the stormer barrels come oversized at .692 instead of .689

@@magfedheroes55 jams in a milsig are not common and the bolt reset handle is not the fix for it anyways. For a stuck bolt issue it is usually sign of a miss alighted barrel block. Such jams are easier to clear with a quick turn of the barrel. Other wise loosen the barrel block, dry fire 2 to 5 shots, tighten ... it's in the manual... there is a good reason they dropped the bolt reset handle.

Huh, if the MG100 is budget and in the same category as the tmc and tipx for you, what is the T15 considered? I've played with a tmc and t15 for about 2 years, and i have friends that use mg100s, we all consider them "high end" even though they're cheaper than the DAM.

The MG100 and the T15 definitely are pricey, but I can say so far that at least for the T15 as of right now, you're definitely getting what you're paying for. I've only used my T15 twice so far, but I absolutely love it.

You kinda ignored, Milsig and First Strike, it should be noted that the lower end MCS markers are mostly body kits for Tippmann internals so the Blizzard uses the same 98 guts as the TMC and Stormer, but has a stock first strike ready breach. That said i think the Stormer is a good intro mag fed option for just around 200 you can get the marker and a few extra mags, then i think the "mid range" kind is the Milsig M17 which for 250 kinda stomps the TMC, given it's mech full auto, and FSR ready breach. Then you don't really have any options till the 450-500 range where you can pick from the FS T15, MCS 468, Milsig M5, and the PE MG100 duking it out and each has it fans. On Pistols, i have a first batch TPX (before Louisville Slugger threatened a trademark suit) and have been using it even with the buggy G1 8 round mags, and i love the little thing. Sadly i think Tippy has ended production of the TCR (managed to nab on late last year) I'd say they needed to redesign the mag release to be more like the TPX's. My main marker is a A5 with Spec Ops A5A2 kit, and i also have a MCS Hurricane (which uses Phenom guts) TLDR i think you aren't given some of the smaller brands enough credit, but agree the Stormer is a great starter marker.

The MG100 is not a budget gun at all, it's 500 for the core marker. You be hard pressed to spend much more without getting a dam or ptr Budget guns would be the tmc, stormers, mr6, m17a2 TCR and tipx for 300/350 mark on the higher budget end.

If you're looking for the absolute cheapest competitive marker then a used PM7 or early DM can be picked up for around $120. If you don't want to deal with the hassle of buying a 10+ year old marker then the etha 2 and the mini gs are both good choices

The Stormer is $180 plus you need a extra mags which is $30 making it $210 where a Tmc cost $250 if im not mistaken plus the extra mags. Add the vest ull need to carry mags and you would spend less on a stormer also it being less weight then the tmc and smaller then a tmc I can see alot of people enter magfeed at a cheaper price point. All and all its a good starter for under $300 set up which gets more players in.

You sound biased. You mention budget in your title and the TMC and stormer are both that, but to mention the MG100 as a good marker and say that MCS markers are terrible? There are plenty of MCS markers that are clam shell markers with tipmann internals that are better than the TMC, stormer, and the MG100. The blizzard, bolt, hurricane all shoot first strikes out the box, the TMC and stormed can't and compared to the MG100, they are cheaper. MG100 price is compared to the 468 from MCS, the t15 from First strike, and ill throw in the M5 from milsig. This is not the only video we're I have seen you talk about magfed and be not only biased, but wrong on some facts.

Tiberius T-15 V2 mags are MUCH better. I own both, T-15 is a better Magfed gun. It is more reliable with FS rounds but it is MUCH easier to take apart to clean in field if needed. Also, the MG100 is closer to price to the T15 than the TMC.
