This guy really helped me make my decision modding my TMC for maximum performance. TechT, superbolt, spring kit, MCS lok bolt are a must

New sub here, thanks for the clear and thorough explanations. Just got a TMC, my first marker, have yet to play a game with it yet. Will play on Sunday coming. I'm excited. I'm saving this video for reference later, will definitely be looking into these upgrades as I'm always looking to get the most out of everything and love to tune stuff. Lol Thank you.

Awesome video, trying to upgrade my TMC as well. Had I first seen your video, I wouldn't have bothered with buying the Lapco Big Shot Assault 14 inch barrel. I would've put that money into the TECHT internals. I'm using Valken Graffiti paint that's sized pretty well, but upgrading the springs makes sense as my TMC lacks range.

Thanks for your comment :) Springs is a cheap and good modification for many types of paintball markers. Regarding the barrel, Tippmann has probably tested many many barrels to find the best barrel for both precision and shooting distance. Not saying that there aren't any barrels that are better than the original because there is a lot of barrels that probably are better but not a lot better or just better in precision or distance. The original is a combination of manufacturing costs + precision + distance.

Just note- A new drive spring will not increase range. The bolt does not shoot the paintball out of the barrel. It pushes the ball past the detents, then the air system takes over as the bolt seals the breach. At best a drive spring will increase air efficiency and trigger response, not range. Upgrading the bolt will also help in air efficiency. The better and quicker the breach seal the less air is needed to shoot a paintball. The TechT bolt is amazing especially with the anti-chop feature. In regards to the rear hammer. The reduction in weight is so insignificant that the reset speed reduction is imperceptible. The reduction in recoil would be the biggest benefit there. That alone would make shooting easier and faster. Bore sizing your barrel is your best friend with Tippmanns. With all these upgrades your air efficiency will be amazing. All in all, these upgrades would make the TMC a joy to shoot.

the only way to power the tmc up is to put a nipple in the center ( grub screw ) that will push the release valve in further releasing more air .. from the hammer weight ...its the only thing that makes engineering sense
@joekelly93692 жыл бұрын
a 14 " barrel is about right with a tmc .. theyre just loose enough not to cause over friction . hell my tmc 16" barrel shoots flies out to 10 meters . lands 8 out of 10 balls on each other . with a £200 red dot 😀😀 off my other rifle ... the cheap paintball 40 quid red dots dont do these guns justice ,, people overlook this fact

Awesome video. Can you tell me exactly what were the parts you installed and send the links for each of those parts? I was thinking about upgrading all those parts but didn't know what was the best from me to get. I want my TMC to be more accurate
@Hultsfredpaintball2 жыл бұрын
The part shown in this video that will do the most for your accuracy is the barrel boring kit. In this video i show the TechT iFiT barrel kit that can be found on techtpaintball (dot) com But there are other brands, one of the more popular ones is the: Freak Kit. The tread you are looking for is T98. There its a lot of things that affect the accuracy and I will do a video about it (if I get the time between running a paintball field, my other work, and normal life). But to keep it simple the biggest challenge is the paint, all paint is not the same size and not evenly round. And round is really not a good shape for accuracy. Expensive paint is not always better and hopefully, I will have time to explain all this. Anyway, a barrel size kit will definitely approve your accuracy, and depending on the paint you want an insert that is the same size or one size bigger.

@@Hultsfredpaintball Thanks. I'm just start playing paintball about 2 months ago. I want my tmc to perform and be as accurate as possible
@michaelruiz2626 Жыл бұрын
The boring kit is great because you can interchange in terms of different paint. However if you plan on modding your TMC FSR( First strike rounds) or a specific brand of paintball. For example. I use Valken Graffiti Paintballs with my TMC. They are a specific size. .687 since I don’t plan on using any other type of ball I went ahead & purchased a lapco 14” big shot unrifled barrel. Measuring exactly that. The kit is in case you plan on using different paint size.

Would these upgrades also work with a stormer/Cronus?
@Hultsfredpaintball2 жыл бұрын
The newer TMC, stormer and Cronus are identical when it comes to most internal parts. The bolt, spring and boring kit will most likely fit all Tippmann markers. The hammer could be a bit different in size and shape depending on the model. There could also be a small difference between newer and older models. But overall these types of upgrades work for Stormer and Cronus, but the best thing is to buy parts that are specifically made for Stormer or Cronus. If ordered online they will probably specify what models the parts fit in.

@joekelly93692 жыл бұрын
the spring mod doesnt work .. the spring just pushes the weight against the air transfer . (putting a nipple on the center of the fllat surface where it hits the release valve pops the valve open longer releasing more air) but your lucky to get 300 fps out of it , without the nipple ,,, probably buy the valken m17 get 370 fps
@Hultsfredpaintball2 жыл бұрын
Not really sure what you are saying or what you think I got wrong. But I'm willing to learn and am glad you are contributing to other users :) Do you agree with my statement here: "Depending on what type of spring you have you can get a higher fps or a more consistent velocity." And I would not recommend anyone to go above 300 fps because most paintball masks and so on are rated for paintballs at 300 fps and not 370 fps.
@riskonetwoable Жыл бұрын
TechT Zero Kick Hammer and Anti Chop Bolt are just fake and not working properly. All it does make your TMC goes full auto sometimes and chopping paint. What nobody shows is that the anti chop bolt is driven by a stiff spring. That makes it way harder for the hammer to retract, which causes the gun to full auto. Only the zero kick hammer might be interesting for a american tmc at 300fps but cant imagine that it has this much more kickback.
@joekelly93692 жыл бұрын
its this simple il use symbols to show how to truly power it up as nothing antbody says works ... im not being big headed but am an engineer .. one stripdown revealed the fact ...ok - } is air valve release pin in centre get it ? again } ok [ this is hammer that hits release pin ok again [ = hammer right simple yeah centre release pin = } [ hammer hits pin ok by putting a grub screw in the center of the hammer acts like a pin extending the original pin pushing it in a tiny bit further releasing more air ok , only way to power this gun up realistically bar porting and rounding air flow off , so ( } -[ ) not to scale start grub screw at 1.5 mm and work in or out , the more released air == more fps forget hammer springs

Sorry but the video do not explain corectly what any of these so called Upgrades really do ...beside the Barrel Kit but in any way dont upgrade your TMC AT ALL it´s an cheap low budget Marker which Perform extactly how it should and none of these things will add to your Performance save the Money for an Mid or high end Marker EMF 100 is the best choice
@Hultsfredpaintball2 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry if you think I was not clear enuff about the things shown in the video and I will try to be more detailed in any upcoming videos. I agree that the TMC works fine just out of the box and the next step for many could be the EMF100 or FS T15. But some people like myself, like the TMC and will continue using it even if I have many other markers. If you don't like the marker I could understand any upgrade is useless but for me upgrades that for example lower the risk of chop paint does ad to performance. Anyway thanks for commenting and contributing your thoughts and experience to others. Thank you and all other that wants to help in the paintball community.
