Definitely great to have a video on this. I almost always repair the model before numbering and creating shop drawings to get rid of empty assemblies in the model which can cause some strange behavior on quantities and numbering flags not going away. Thanks for making this

We have issues that it changes the part or assembly mark after sending it to fabrication. So try to avoid using this after part of the model has been sent for fab

I used this repair model tool before creating drawing. But don't use it weekly. That's great idea solve some more issues in multiuser models. Thanks a lot for this one. Looking forward more tips like these.

Thanks for the video Dave... One thing that should be emphasized when using the Diagnose & Repair Numbering All or Selected Objects options is that Tekla uses the current Numbering settings when this command runs. If you have multiple customized settings for Numbering, you need to be aware of what settings you have currently loaded. Just running this without knowing the settings could cause problems in the model by using the wrong criteria... We mostly use the Selected Objects option if in Multi-user since users will work in different areas of the model on different object types. - D.Mahaffy

That's a very good point about it using the currently applied numbering settings. Regarding the selected objects, the reason I don't prefer using it is because it's not really just the selected objects - it's the SERIES of the selected objects; eg if I select a column with numbering series of C/1, all other columns with C/1 get numbered whether they are selected or not.

@@TrimbleTeklaDave - in precast, we assign users a concrete product with specific cast unit(assembly) prefixes...ie; ITB(inverted Tee beam), C(column), DT(double tee), etc. 'D & R Numbering of Selected Objects' is very handy for us. - D.Mahaffy

@@BruCrew111 Good example. I do tend to get locked into a 'steel' mindset. Usually when people try to use this option it's because they were expecting it to work one way but it actually works another.

I'm interested to know how these tools behave with multiple users in a shared model environment. Would a firm want to assign one user to repair a model periodically or can all users just jump in and do it anytime?

Technically anyone could do it, however I would personally establish one "project leader" to have that responsibility.
