since most two stroke dirt bikes aren't made for trail riding a lot, and since that is exactly what I do with my Kx100, I decided to make a video pointing out some beginner tips to riding a two stroke in the woods. it consists of things you need to watch out for in the woods, and some tips on how to ride your bike in technical spots and on hills!

If you're doing Woods riding run a hotter plug like a br9 or a br8es.. I run the br8 it works excellent so much bottom end and smooth Power Band..no fouled plugs!!

I always mix 2.5-3% oil, 3% when there is more road riding, and on trails I always use a minimum of 2.5% just to be on the safe side.. My plug are nut brown isj, and it runs "cool" never any over heating, just a little more smoke.. Full synthetic 2 stroke oils, I've used the shell racing one lately, it works and smells good.. NEVER use cheap 2 stroke oils!!!!

Since your on trails, and your not usually going super duper fast like two strokes are built to do, mixing it 40 to 1 or even mixing 50 to 1 is better for if your going slower it’ll run better if you are going slower

I'm planning on getting a two-stroke but probably not going to ride it on the track. My friend told me I can't go half throttle. I always have to go full throttle. Is that true?

well you don’t always have to go full throttle but i definitely do not recommend going easy on it 100% of the time. they are race bikes so they’re meant to run

2:18 its not true that you have to put it into neutral to start it up again just put it in first or second and hold in that clutch when you kick it then your already in gear and dont have to spend time finding neutral, but anyways great video also i use kawasaki brand 2 stroke mix and do 32:1 but what is your experience with 50:1? im going to be doing medium paced trail riding this summer.

Hey man you might not see this but I’m wondering if you’ve ever had to replace a top end or bottom end or piston on your bike? I’m looking to get a kx112 and I don’t wanna have to pour money into it
@TeamWaxOffroad
@TeamWaxOffroad Жыл бұрын
i’ve never had to change a top or bottom end on one, bottom end would be tricky but if you had a new bike it would take a lottttt of use and abuse for it to come down to replacing a bottom end. a top end is pretty simple on the two stroke bikes, and you shouldn’t have issues with that for a long time either

So 2strokes are bad for water crossings?
@TeamWaxOffroad
@TeamWaxOffroad Жыл бұрын
if you're hitting water going very fast it could be harmful to the bike, but that goes for any race style bike with an open airbox. water can splash up and fall through the number plates getting into the airbox which can then run straight to the engine
