Another great set of tips, Teoh! Thanks for doing these. A couple notes from the team: - On iOS, your drawings are now available through the Files app (since 6.0) under On My iPad -> Concepts, so backups aren’t quite so painful. iCloud is still in progress. - When rearranging the z-order of things on a layer, you can drag selections _to the same layer_ which puts them on top without requiring new layers + merge. - While color palettes haven’t made their way to Windows / Android quite yet, a common workaround is to make smudges of your preferred colors on canvas (inside your templates if you like), then use the tap+hold color picker to grab them while drawing.

Hi Teoh great video. Regarding changing the Z depth, you can also move an object to the SAME layer it is already in, and it will end up on top of the other objects in the layer!

Hi Teoh, great video! About your stroke scaling issue, you can retain the proportions of your strokes by switching from "stretch" to "scale" on the selection pop up.

Yep. You can also rotate a selection freehand without changing its size by toggling "Stretch / Scale / Scale Off" to "Scale Off".

Great video! Have you tried the Lamy stylus before? If not, I'd love to see an artist's review of it, in combination with the samsung tablets. Full name is Lamy All-Star EMR stylus, and there are two versions depending on if you want to use it on a glossy surface, or on a paperlike screen surface.

I have not tried the Lamy stylus. But since it's using the EMR tech, the performance will be similar to the Samsung S Pen and Staedtler Noris Digital. It's just the physical design of the LAMY pen may feel more comfortable (?).

Wonderful tips! Is 'Xiaomi pad 6' good option for a intermediate user for the purpose of drawing and illustrations? Or should I wait for Samsung Tab 9?

I don’t have colour template. I find the colours from the copic colour wheel to work quite well together compared to colour wheels from other drawing app which gives limitless colours

I love the infinite canvas concepts app offers.... I can draw many drawings, have them in one place, have insane image quality (it's vector) but the storage it took is very minimal... But the one thing that kinda let down me is the brush is quite laggy and the pressure sensitivity doesn't work like expected(I use goodnotes to take notes, but man, the brush feel so good that i end up drawing instead of taking notes😂)... Got any tips, sir? (Btw i use ipad 9th gen)

Yeah, their brush pressure algorithm isn't that good unfortunately. Instead of Dynamic Pen, I try to use the watercolour brushes (paid) for drawing line art instead and they look slightly better possibly due to the textured look.

There's no cut and paste from the tools or menu. So you will have to use keyboard shortcuts instead. There should be workarounds depending on what you want to achieve.
