You forgot engines raises and fuel cells. If your subframe is like half an inch of the ground there is no point in running a skidplate, just raise your engine above your frame and get a fuel cell. Frames are replaceable, just make sure everything important sits above it (oil pan, gearbox, fuel lines, brake lines, fuel tank). Or dont lower your car to the point that its no longer functional as a car. Lowering a car can do great things for performance and appearance but if you cant get out of the driveway without grinding the chassis, its too low. Why put all the time and money into your car to make it a pain in the ass to drive anywhere and in a lot of cases ride like shit. Find a happy medium between looks and function so you can take your car out and enjoy driving it not worried about what your going to rip off it because of a little dip in the road.
