No I don't think so! When it comes to software engineering roles specifically, I know a lot of people don't have degrees but they completed boot camps like Hack Reactor. For other roles, I've noticed that the focus is more on your experience vs. your degree!

It depends which state. Most states like Chicago require a degree.
