Left the house crying after being home all week and all day on Saturday with my 2 under 2. Here I am in my car in a Walmart parking lot, parked under a tree, and this video is in my subscriptions. Talk about a coincidence. Today and this past week has been so hard. My 2 year old is sick. My 9 month old is coming down with it too and my husband is working overtime. I just want to get a hotel room and sleep.

I go for a drive and sit in my car too as my “me time.” And I have often wished to be able to go to a hotel alone for the night. I have an 8 week old and a highly spirited 2.5 year old so I know how exhausting it is. I hope you’re feeling better soon. Motherhood is so exhausting and all consuming.

Hi this video has truly made me feel more confident and comfortable having 2 under 2, I found out I was pregnant with my son last year when I was 16 years old, I had him when I was 17 and now 7 months later im pregnant again and I was honestly so in shock because I had an iud and I was in no place to have another baby but after talking with my significant other we decided to push through and have this baby since our son and this new baby will be so close in age we thought they would grow up together and be close with each other which is something both me and my significant other didn’t really have as kids. But anyways I just wanted to say this video is helping me a lot I’m 6 weeks with my second❤️🤞🏻

Awesome video thanks! Something I'm doing to simplify is to have 7 comfortable sets of clothes rolled together including undies, just to grab in the morning. Keep it separate from the rest of your clothes (that you'll probably not be wearing in mama survival mode) and all darks so they can be washed together. It's abit of an investment to get this many similar things, charity shops would be great to find stuff. And you can even do it with your kids clothes. I'll be a single mama of 2 under 2 when I'm due in a month so desperately trying to find ways to keep me sane and stay on at college!

I currently 28 weeks with my second (unplanned) child and my son is 18 mos. I’m having a LOT of big feelings about this pregnancy. So happy that we got pregnant so easily and without medical intervention (it took much more effort with our first) but also very sad that I won’t have more 1:1 time with my son. I feel resentful that I didn’t plan for this pregnancy and change in life and it feels like my autonomy has been taken away in a lot of ways. I have been missing out on things I would have engaged in and enjoyed had I not been pregnant. Looking forward to being done with diapers once this next baby is out of them, can’t wait to watch them play together, happy that our family will be complete. And also, so scared. So so scared of what this life will look like with two young kiddos.

No one is here to support regardless covid or not so I have to do it all on my own. My second one doesn’t breastfeed well and wants to be held all the time compared to my first. My first and I were so close and I feel like our relationship is getting more and more strained because I find it hard to balance because she is very active. So basically if you have no support to help with the older child, better not having one? That's what I got in the beginning of the video and I stopped in there because I have no one to help besides my husband

No, that’s not my conclusive point. Depending on the age gap the need for help will vary. Lots of couple manage two kids without support, but if that’s the case then I would recommend a virtual community of emotional support (like FaceTiming loved ones or joining a mom group) to help you stay well during the transition to two kids. Having more than one child is really wonderful and though it can be a big transition it’s so special to see them bond. Plus you adore the second baby, like with the first. Eventually they play without you and that’s great too. If you end up choosing to stick with one child then awesome, but I did not say it is better not to have another baby if you don’t have help.

Thank you for this video! My kids will be 21 months apart, so technically I’ll only have 3 months of 2 under 2, but it is still a bit scary, also with my older baby the first 2 months were a literal nightmare (reflux, colics and 24/7 fuzziness didn’t help and deciding to give birth in my hometown hence spending that time at my parents home with my husband didn’t either). I can’t wait to do things differently this second time around. Your approach to motherhood and faith are really inspiring to me Jess! Thanks again
