There's a British woman, Bryony, who has a channel called Precious Star Vlogs. She had pretty significant anxiety and SI when she was pregnant, and the NHS assigned her not only a therapy group but also a specialist midwife who has additional training in and exclusively works with pregnant people having mental health struggles beyond the normal range. She did a beautiful job documenting it, as well as her recovery. IMO it's a great resource even for people outside the UK because she was so honest.

For me, having my mom, sister (also a nurse), and husband in the room during labor made me feel safe, supported, and comforted, which helped me relax.

Sometimes there's no escaping anxiety, it's so important to let it be present and move. Mindfulness is cool. I use the mindfulness book called 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels sometimes.

I had my baby 3 weeks ago. Nothing that I learned helped during labor and delivery. Nothing. I just wanted this baby out of me 😅

What did help with your goal of “get this baby out of me?” Was there something you felt you could have more guidance on?

@@Nurse_zabe the labor and delivery nurses encouraging me along even though I know I was not doing it right. They were very positive, very encouraging and believed in me so much when I had already given up. They were my biggest cheerleaders. No negativity at all.
