"Take your time with it, it's worth it" WELL PUT!! Seriously it's very very hard to under-state just how vital/requisite preparation is to the success (or, for so many, failure!) of a paint-job especially on more difficult hardware IE chainsaws where you've got heat, handling and gasoline/petrol products, I found this url while looking for bar-painting vids after I saw a guy doing his and - while watching and noticing he hardly paid lip-service to the preparation of the bar - knew from the start that that paint would never hold, am uncertain whether a bar actually can be painted (in a legit/lasting manner) with simple & regular spray-paints, the pressure/heat/oil of the bar makes me think it may be a 'plating'/anodizing type of thing only....still likely to try it have enough extra, ugly bars laying around :P Thanks for the vid :)

All of the colors are Homelite, but the product information on my webpage should help: www.leonschainsawpartsandrepair.com/homelite-chainsaw-restoration.html

@@LeonsChainsawPartsAndRepair Wait wait, the color-hues or the paint product itself? (LOL I should read the link right? ;D ) In either case, do you have recommendations for what type of paint to use on the metal body of my 1977 poulan 25d? Am a good way through my restoration/'improvement' project and haven't put any thought into the fun part IE fixing its aesthetics, easy&rewarding work after the actual rebuild yknow! Would love any recommendations, the base color is a neon green that I actually like, if I can get away with it I'm going to sand that to get rid of any high/low spots til I can get-away with a satin-level sheen of the same neon/lime green I've just no idea where to get the proper paint, am guessing home depot will have 0-->2 matching products, if I'm lucky, and it's even-chances whether the color will be in a suitable form (ie type & sheen) Would realllly love to keep the neon green on this thing, it's a neat enough color and the idea of having to go to bare-metal when unnecessary is pointless for me in this context, at the end of the day I just want a new paintjob regardless of color, want it to look restored once it is restored ;D
