In this video, I will address how to adjust to your new prescription eye glasses. As a board licensed optometrist, I get this question all the time. Here are some tips on how to adapt to new eye glasses. It is normal to expect a little time for your eyes to adjust to your new pair of glasses.

I got my first pair of glasses a few weeks ago. I really noticed the difference when I first put them on. It's like seeing the world in HD! I did however had to adjust to being able to read with them on.

I just got my new pair of glasses about 2 weeks ago and it made my vision feel different but I am now wearing them and can see a lot better to.

Wow THANK YOU for all the info. I wish I could find a great optometrist here in NY. I had no clue, most EVERYONE has these issues. My first pair of glasses have been in a drawer bc I swore something was wrong. The doc, nor anyone else in the office gave me any info knowing it was my first pair of glasses. 2 years later, I now really have no choice but to get another pair of glasses. Hence the research I am doing now that I should've done 2+ years. Again, THANK YOU Doc. for info and great tips!!!

I have a headache every time I look at something close and feel nauseous and my eyes hurt Owie. I had them for a couple hours

had a 2 in 1 lenses, Astigmatism and PC Len. See the image of flooring in an angel position. After removing it, my vision feel blurry. I also felt fizzy. Image all look yellowish due to PC Len toward all images beside Electronic display.

Same here. I feel as if I will fall while walking. Living in a busy city it was too overwhelming for me and ditched them. Seeing this vid, I feel more positive knowing it's not just me and the tips the Doc gave will help me. I hope you have had luck adjusting & getting used to your new eyes. 😉🙃😉

does lack of sleep can affect the glass prescription? or can we have an eye exam even if we don’t have enough sleep?

Hey doc...I got new glasses was told my prescription had changed from -6.75 to -7.i wore them for about 4days.they were giving me headaches and had a pulling effect I took them back.i was given new lenses in my old prescription -6.75 but my eyes are still not adjusting.my old glasses had too many scratches and I had wore them for 4years.today is day 4 and they are still very clear.no pulling effect but I get occasional headache.what should I do?should I continue wearing them for some time cz they are my old prescription.
