Sooo insightful for me, from 5:16 to 7:14. Would have prevented last years elbow injury, I'm sure of it.

Tons of good tips in here. Definitely pushing me to do a virtual lesson with Mr. Baker. Been wanting to anyways.

Always respected Mark. Even when he had that golden mullet!! 🤟🤣 Kidding aside. I'd love to have some pointers from Mr. Baker. Nationals in June, I'll look for any clinics, etc. Thanks for your time Mark!!

Dang, I wish I could afford one of these camps…. LOVED the way he was talking to & coaching the 2 hander. That’s the kind of non-coddling, no nonsense instruction I’ve always wanted!

Question for Mark: I am a USBC Bronze coach, and will be getting my Silver in October. Do you ever get requests from coaches to shadow you while you coach? If so are they ever granted? 😁 Would love to learn from the best!

This was Coach Mark Baker and we were at one of his camps called "Camp Bakes". This particular one was at Sunset Station Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Mark is based out of Orange California and does camps in the region. His website is www.markbakerbowling.com . He should have info on there about upcoming Camp Bakes if you are interested, they're definitely a good time.

I'm a senior citizen and one my biggest concerns about attending one of Mark's camps is that most of the attendees would be in their 30's. Judging from this video, I would fit right in!!! Thanks so much for posting this video.

No problem, thank you for watching. Yep, lots of people from all ages, but plenty of seniors attend.

I took one of Mark’s tips he gave to one of his students and applied it to my game this evening and shot 278 and a 716 series. I had been in a slump up until tonight. Thanks Mark.

Great thoughts. Keeping feet “under” not behind your head. Two-handed don’t cheat on backswing and drop in too soon. Again head gets ahead of feet. 67 yo two hander bowling f 12:47 or three years. Troy Lint agrees with you. My head is getting ahead. Dave

Mark you made me realize something that I thought was the wrong way to bowl .I was trying to get low so I can make the ball roll smooth down lane. I was wrong going low n slow has caused my body to either fall out of the shot losing leverage and chicken winging at the release

10:35 Bakes, to the 2hander who has an RPM rate of what looks like high 400s: "You're sliding 25 playing 12. That's the same line as the guy who has an RPM rate of 190" I went 2handed this year and I throw it similar to that guy. I usually START by lofting the cap...and that dude wants to play to the outside? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

When you setup with your hand on the side of the ball, how do you get behind the ball for your release? Does your hand hand get under and behind the ball after your push away?
@TheCleanUpCrew3004 ай бұрын
Great question. We will be doing a more in depth look at hand placement/release coming soon. We will make sure to address this.
