I watch a lot of coaching videos but very few are actually helpful like yours, you really get into the specifics. Most coaches say things like "hes using falsetto here guys " and that's their extent of their analysis. Thank you so much!!

I love your point about not letting anyone tell you that vibrato comes naturally or not at all. My (wonderful) and completely classical voice teacher believed that and told me that while I was trying to improve my skills and add vibrato to my kit. Luckily I didn’t believe her and kept working at it. I still don’t have the best vibrato but finally started to really get the hang of it in my 30s. Wish I’d had access to this knowledge in this format 15 years ago when I was a kid trying to figure it out. Thank you for you knowledge and style. Glad I found your channel. ❤

Again, another thing I was taught during classical training: "It'll come naturally once you're good enough" - no, it doesn't, and I don't believe I'm not good enough after years of training. Great lesson, thanks!

This is so good teaching .. absolutely doesn't underestimate beginners or doesn't discourage from learning singing... It's good... It focuses on practice awareness rather than having certain genes it makes you work and practice hard to gain the skill rather than throwing responsibility on genes.. too good ..

Also this kind of teaching is so harmful for the longevity of the voice - you CAN manipulate the speed of your vibrato, but if you do this everyday for your whole life, you're going to cut your vocal longevity in half.

I love watching your videos. I am sitting here listening to you with my earbuds and have practiced a few things on your shorts. My kids are probably thinking what is she doing making random noises? My goal is to enjoy my singing voice and have fun with it without sounding like a pterodactyl in a wind tunnel. I'm so glad I found you! The way you break things down into pieces make it so easy to understand and then it just takes practice.

I have an app that lets you sing duets with prerecorded songs. I was singing the line “his world will go on turning” in On My Own from Les Miz. I didn’t even realize I did a vibrato on the word “turning” until listened to it. Since it came out that way and I wasn’t even trying I’d say I was doing the vibrato naturally.

Omg! I literally asked my classmate before how to do the vibratto since she's such a good singer and she told me that it just happens naturally.
@yooowhatsgood2 жыл бұрын
it does happen naturally to some not because they aren’t thinking about it but because they don’t think about it the most when singing but nonetheless they’re thinking VIBRATO when hitting a note, which basically prove this right
@josephinecorichi52192 жыл бұрын
Maybe it’s the style I was taught, but the vibrato does come naturally, but only if I’m really connected to my breath. Then I can manipulate it or make a straighter tone. But if I just focus on the breath, and relax and open, the vibrato just comes out… it did take about a year to feel some results. 🤷🏼♀️ Not throwing any shade, just sharing my perspective. I clicked to learn new stuff and different styles. 👍

I've never worked on my vibrato but have always had it. No one should ever manufacture a vibrato like you are teaching.
@jacquistephens6052 жыл бұрын
I've had my vibrato since I was 10 years old so, it is a natural occurrence. If you have to force a vibrato, then its not a natural vibrato. There are a lot of singers out there who, have no vibrato. I call them talking singers. Why haven't they developed any vibrato if it's not a natural occurrence. Xxxxxx
