OMG that's the (after) shape hair I have ALWAYS wanted. I sort of got it there before with product, lifting and spraying and mashing the length ends in to make it look tapered in toward my neck. So, i leave the house looking great, but in an hour or two gravity pulls down my height and it falls sort of flat around my crown, while still full and fluffy on the ends (I call it my cocker spaniel ear hair, lol) like in the before pic. i have my first divacut scheduled tomorrow. so scared and excited. my hair is similar to the before right now, maybe a bit thinner. I'm hoping so hard i can finally get that round shape into my curls i've always wanted! Pray for me, People!

I recently had a deva cut. It left me with really short layers and my hair looked like a ball. Way short layers all over / Poof head layers and Shirley temple curls. It’s the same cut for everyone, tons of short layer- it’s called a waterfall cut it’s a cut from the 80’s. It is not my thing. Not a current style at all. Now I am stuck growing out all these choppy layers. It’s like a mullet with longer sides. I guess to take the weight off the curls. Blech!!

I'm highly allergic to Mint so that's the case it's a no-go for me TIA

Jo Garcia if you go to the deva curl website and view each product..they will show what ingredients are in each one. Not all their products contain mint. I got ripped off. My experience was nothing like on the video. I paid almost $300 for a half assed job when I went to get a deva cut. The stylist literally took scissors and chopped across to get rid of the dead hair, washed my hair, applied products, put me under the dryer, cut a couple of strands (5 to be exact) and sent me on my way. I could of gotten a better cut at super cuts for $20.

The first and last time I dyed my hair at a hair salon they teased my hair so much before putting the product in and it ruined my curls, and also when they were bleaching my hair they use a really high developer and it wasn’t necessary. Lmao I don’t know why I’m telling u this but I felt like sharing it. Is the hair uneven when straight?
@josie6556 жыл бұрын
Most likely! You shouldn't get a devacut if you're planning on straightening you curls every now and then. Devacuts are really only meant for those who will ALWAYS wear their hair curly since not every curl is cut to the same length. One curl can be cut shorter than the one next to it because it might be bouncier than the other. So the cut will most likely not look good if straightened.

Plus, the products alone are twice the original price, not included shipping. Also, are there any Deva stylists in Denmark? Even the 'curl specialists' can't seem to make it look right, though they are more gentle with the hair than ordinary hairdressers. I got my first Deva cut last weekend. And after watching this video I realize I did NOT get what I paid for. My stylist immediately combed all my curls out as straight and poofy as possible, she cut about an inch off of my hair the sectioned it off, twisted the sections into ropes and cut into the twists to add "texture" she then shampooed my hair with shampoo that was not Deva Curl and it became obvious to me later that it was not sulfate free since my hair turned into straw. Then she scrunched some kind of Redkin gel into my hair and used a blow dryer on me until my hair was as straight and lifeless as I have ever seen it. I'm so mad! This is not what I pain $75 for! She said she was trained in Oidad a D Deva Curl and she even showed up on the Deva Curl search site. Wtf?
