A two stroke scoter doesn't have a way to measure the oil temp as it's mixed with the gas.

No because your removing the crush ring.

Had one on my Vespa and worked great, went to put on my Lambretta but the battery inside it had died (not removable), so only option is to buy a complete new kit, wont bother as too expensive. Best option to solve the fitting on plug is to put over plug body held ont to plug with tight fit heat resistant tubing, just enough to hold it and not foul the plug cap. The reading will be the same as putting on as in video, taking off the crush washer on a plug is wrong !!!

**Sorry, but I can't see placing on my '08 Metro w/a liquid-cooled engine...the plug clearances are critical to the aluminum-head and piston 'TDC' with a 'Denso' plug, and anything altering that precise measure alters performance...and with a 50cc Honda engine, I can see where that thick 'copper-wire ring' could result in poor-firing due to the plug 'not seated properly'**(why not a retainer-clip on the cylinder-head itself? Or an 'EGT' probe? ) **ps...I ride my 'Metro' when it's 'Hot as Hell' all this summer and the last one as well, while the 'Mighty '50' runs like a 'growling turbine' hauling my 230lbs. around at 'wide-open-throttle' for mile after mile...and never once has the 'Temp. Warning' light so much as 'flickered' !** I was thinking 'Maybe it's out!' so I checked it, and it works the way it's supposed to...it activates at 185F. at the pre-set level ! (I used a hair-dryer to force the temp. up)

Gerry Nightingale heat isn’t really an issue for your bike. If you were to run a gauge on that you’d use an inline coolant sensor. Not a style like this
@gerrynightingale90456 жыл бұрын
I figured as much...(the Honda is so reliable it's scary! As long as it's properly taken care-of and not abused...it will 'out-live' my 64-yr.old ass!) What I don't understand is the rationale of 'why' a heavy-gauge metal-loop as a fitting on the plug-shaft? Is there a low-current running to it, and as it expands from heat it forms greater resistance...and a 'chip' in the module interprets that into a temp.? Does it have some 'bi-metal' in the 'loop' that expands differently from copper?
