I usually train heavy without any spotters. It forces me to have the mindset not to miss any lifts.

What if you had an injury mid rep? You gonna grind through and make it worse? 😯Use a rack and spotter bars. They never take days off or lose concentration👍

Matt always trained alone. Following back injury and shoulder problems I moved to a SQB and much like you have shown I hold the bars of the squat rack. I know that this had made it easier but I can sit further back keep back straight, increase the weight etc but is this good enough I wonder. I train at home so am lucky to have the equipment. Shoulders and back are doing brilliantly. Great video

Wow that's some pretty awesome equipment. I work out solo and that bench and squat rack look awesome. The bench press bar also looks a lot more comfy, really nice design.

This is how I was taught back in the 70"s. TOO MUCH EGO lifting these days, social media?? Dropping the weight after each concentric rep does nothing for advancing you as a lifter. Proving Gravity doesn't build muscle!

I train on my own in a powercage and have no problems. I can just dump it if needed.

Train in a power cage and always have the bars set correctly and you can do it alone or have a spotter but those pins set correctly are much safer than any spotter.

hey man, that belt squat machine is really great looking, is the depth adjustable? say if you wanted to simulate coming out of the very bottom of a squat? or does it depend on how tall you are?

So let me get this straight. I should use Saftey bars if I don’t have a spotter. I always wondered why they were there…..

some of the tips are good but not everyone has the space or money for a belt squat and straight legged deadlift machine in their garage so I would have liked to have seen more garage gym friendly 'no partner heavy lift' solutions included. Also...why do you have a hammer and sickle flag in your gym?

He invented it. The handles are attached to the chains so you can’t cheat by lifting the handles up and lowering the Barbell farther down your back.
