Tips replacing mechanical seal without measuring the distance gap on shaft and Overhauling pump

It would have been a lot easier if electric motor lifted. There is already enough maintenance space to do it. And all the lube touching carbone and teflon surface is a big no. It is makers fault(or probably it is not original shaft with diameter gap to position mechanical seal on the exact position). Thank you for sharing. I hope it won’t leak in the future.🤞
