"Don't sound like a douchebag!" LMAO! This is my favorite so far. Gold, Jason. PRACTICE OUT LOUD. Rehearse your intros. See at as a performance, and your approach will change completely. Rock on, brother.

No more ladies & gentleman. Another option that I find works here in the South is "Friends & Family" or "Family & Friends" in your natural voice.

family and friends not vice versa... but you dont need to say that, the people know who they are.

"Less is more" has always been my motto. More DJs need to embrace that mentality. Happy to hear a leader in the industry encouraging the same! 🔥👍🔥❤️

Its been that way for me since day one.

Tip 4.5 = If you genuinely smile, they will hear it when your talking. Tip 6.5 = I found that i set up the mic EQ/volume and test how it sounds out on the dancefloor before the event begins. you can then fine tune it so that by the time the event starts, you mic level and clear voice shine for the event

Love the bullet points here! This is helpful for DJ's at all levels of experience, at the end of the day, fundamentals are essential. I'd love to see a video or series of videos on your preparation process .... for example... the steps you take once the event is booked on through to the day of the event. Just love to see how you handle communication between you and your couples and how you go about attaining the info. you need to prep properly for your event. Hope that makes sense. Thanks again for sharing the nuggets!!!

Good tips! Only thing- he means "inflection", not infliction. We dont want to inflict anything on anyone lol, but our inflection in the moment can carry our magneticism/charisma. Well said and laid out brotha! "Tasteful Audience Participation"

Hey Jason, you talked about not using crutch phrases like "ladies & gentleman" or "at this time". Can you give some examples of what you have been using instead? Thanks!
@Jason_Jani3 жыл бұрын
Hey @andrew, How about not using them at all, just diving into what you are trying to say is best without the fluff.
