I am very excited about the kettlebell snatch video! Maybe I'll stop bruising my forearm with it. Also, does anyone know what the benefits of doing the American kettlebell swing instead of the Russian one, where the kettlebell goes only to your eye level? Does the American version improve anything, or is it just some extra challenge?

New fan here! Love, Love, Love the curtains and the hooks! My era curtains. Look for the matching coach. LOL I'm 67! 5 feet and 125 and have been looking to change my routine. I still train bodybuilding style and watch my nutrition etc., but lately I have been goalless. I put in a lot of effort to walk around soar but not feel like i'm going anywhere with it. I competed bodybuilding in the mid 80's to early 90's wow has the sport changed! Ladies, your showing too much ass! for free! hahaha! I am thrilled and have been binge watching your videos. Mentally I don't want to feel like I have to go the gym to stay fit and challenged, especially in the summer who wants to be inside. So, I'm putting together a patio gym and start doing body weight, kettle ball, bands and saving the heavy training for the gym and go basic, pullups, and presses, oh ya, legs ugh! Just a big thank you! love your style and attitude, truly a professional in your field.

I'm just getting back into it, probably 2 weeks in, from back surgery in late April. Just did kettlebell swings in my WOD this morning, and my right QL, I think it was, started to spasm. Had to switch to lunges. Can't wait for this to be easier or better. I tried keeping a posterior pelvic tilt, but it just didn't help.

Curious, what is the benefit to finishing with a lockout at the top as opposed to the Russian style where it stops at just above shoulder? I have trained both, and can appreciate the top lockout, but have found that I have more practical application stopping at the "traditional" girevoy position.
