this is pretty true and I also realize that many coaches don't really teach this. In skating, often times that your upper body (including head) lead the lower body, and not other way around.

For me, I think a very important point that may be overlooked, is when he said if you feel like you may lose an edge while crossing over, keep your feet moving and power through it. I have found that to be very true!

May I know why when I am doing cross over forward my left leg often can’t grip the ice when I’m switching my right to move forward?
