Tips to Routing Wires Under a Vehicle

On a lot of trailer wiring installs it is required to route wires under a vehicle. There is a lot of moving parts that can damage your wires so in this video we go over some tips to routing wires under a vehicle.
1. Avoid anything hot like the exhaust
2. Avoid moving parts
3. Use crossmembers and follow existing wiring to route
4. Follow brake lines
5. Go under panels
6. Use the frame
7. Use the wheel wells
8. Secure wiring with zip-ties or other restraints

Always loom/protect your aftermarket wire and only use quality high tensile strength zip ties. Otherwise you'll be dragging wire in a few years especially if exposed to 4 full seasons or hot summers on top of hot blacktop.

I was wonder if it is safe to directly zip tie the cable to the brake line? Doesn't brake line get really hot?

The brake line is perfectly safe to zip tie to. The line does not get hot.
