Tips to Stop Gunther from Barking

For this Omaha dog training session we taught 3 year-old Mini Schanuzer Gunther to stop barking so his roomie 6 year-old Shih Tzu can get some rest.

I liked this video because he used real dogs to show the behavior and especially because they didn’t always do what he wanted - hilarious and authentic. The trainer is so good natured with the dogs. Really good, thank you.

Great video. I had a schnauzer who died recently and he used to bark his head off and we would all just yell at him which now I realize was basically just us barking back at him encouraging the behavior. We are planning on getting another schnauzer so we are trying to figure out how to prevent excessive barking because we are moving to either a townhouse or apartment.

My schnauzer only barks at dogs. He’s so well behaved until we get near another dog 😔 it’s literally the most frustrating thing ever. Thank you for the tips!

Mine has decided that all skateboarders or scooter riders are pirates that need to be scared away. He is quite suspicious of humans that are unescorted by dogs, so they should be barked at also. Jogging humans must be ninjas so most of them deserve a good barking. Lol

My neighbor’s schnauzer is always barking....I don’t know how to tell them to correct the dog. I have a husky and I can’t even be outside with my dog because the little demon goes on a rampage barking nonstop.

U could try a soft nosed muzzle just when nessessary he should learn then that it’s best not to bark..I have one one for when I walk mine people cross the road to avoid my schnozz when she starts taking so I just pop the muzzle on and she’s calm and it’s makes for pleasant walk always make sure it fits ok and dog can breathe alright..

My schnauzer has learned not to bark. I tell her to shut up once. If she doesn't she got a kick. Now she hears shut up once and she shuts up and goes to the bedroom and hides under the bed.

I was hoping to see this in action. My bichon barks way to much..outside and any noise inside and anytime someone comes over. I’m getting a new puppy and afraid it will bark too

The audio and the video do not match and the teaching method is not organized. I did not like the way this guy teaches this. He needs to find a better way to present the lesson.
