Good tips man. Been watching you and scotty for ages and you guys have gotten me onto my first snapper and a bunch since. Appreciate it! One question - when you talk about hanging off the back of the reef, especially if your have an easterly blowing, your burley will basically just be flowing away from the reef out onto the barren sand. I guess you just count on the fact that the snapper live out there on the sand eh? Do you give much thought to what direction the burley is flowing or as long as your boat is in the right spot youre happy?

Glad to hear & appreciate you for the support for us both 👊🏼✅ yeah mate as you know it’s often an easterly haha so I anchor right on edge and kinda want burley going past the edge out onto the sand but often it’s straight out onto the sand, seems a bit odd but it seems to work haha 😆 ✅🎣

Just the perfect size to eat. You can hear the slop on the ali boat, makes you wonder how much it spooks the fish like you said, the long cast gets the fish. I learnt a lot about snapper fishing once I got the drone. At the start couldn't catch fish in the same spots and time of day we were with the drone, in that 5-6m or even less. I now turn off the sounder too. When I am in the plastic kayak sounder off they come into the burly right under the boat, even had them with their backs out of the water smashing pilchards. Bite seems to last a lot longer too. heading out to do the same tomorrow, myself. Howling east wind, so no kayak going in the noisy tinnie. love sneaking one in before work :)

Perfect eating size!! Yes iv Hurd about flicking the sounder off once happy the anchor has held, a guy I know that cleans up swears by it, I just can’t bring my self to turn mine off as I love to see a fish on it then hoping it finds my bait, the seeing the fish then rod bending is very cool. Iv tried my best to convince my self the snapper like the sound of an ally boat 😂😂 then other days I’m sat there thinking damn if only my boat would be quiet 😂✅ the kayaks and drone really are the ultimate inshore stealth machines!! One thing that’s always confused me is how the heavy leader in the day time on a drone seems to work but I’m assuming that’s because there is no boat there to make them weary? I reckon if I used heavy leader like the drone guys use off my boat inshore I’d really struggle to get a bite 🤔 🤔 good luck for the morning Peter not that you need it ✅🎣😃

@@rush.gang.fishing sounder seems to be a factor around that 5-6m. Read about it they reckon fish can't hear it, diving swim under the transducer blows your head. Makes you wonder fishing shallow fishing about those plastic boats.

Another great vid. It's interesting that on opening day I got my two best pinkies at 4:50am and 7am🤔. It was a bit stirred up though. I'm going to have to try adding a bit of flash to the baits too😁

Nice work mate assuming just in shallow water as well? I think being stirred up is a huge help ae, soon as I see its super clear I know I’m going to struggle but if ya back ya self in you can definitely score! If your going to burley, you might as well burley haha 😂✅ prob not so much from a kayak though 😅 was approx 4kg of crap in that bag used most of it in such a short session as well lol.. it was a first for me the ol cray on the line I thought it was seaweed until it starting splashing on the surface in the low light 😂🦞🦞

Nice stuff Jack. Great to see you score a good snapper first time back out! Was this on Friday morning? I went out too, but don't have a spot that works well in these no-wind conditions so no snapper seen. Got a Samson fish that we kept for crays bait, some good size skippy, and then finished off the morning with 10 crays. Don't think there will be a video though, GoPro went flat after the sambo, no intros or outros etc. Love your videos still mate

God damn how where the conditions, so nice out there, not ideal fishing conditions though haha 😆 I reckon I got lucky to catch in such shallow water with it being that clear etc! Just so happy to be allowed to target these fish again! Nice work man still sounds like you had a good morning. I’m half considering dropping one of my pots out deeper to try get my first jumbo 🤔 🤔 I’d love to catch a really big cray just to say iv got one.
