Hey Kristen - What a great idea about turning the loom over and smooshing it on the table after all of the pegs are installed to anchor the pegs better. I am going to do that next time! It's been so long since I used this loom (and loom knitting in general) I forgot how to take it apart! Thank you so much for your video, because only then did I realise the pegs were holding the pieces together. 🤣 About to try and use these loom parts for a temperature blanket, (in panels) so wish me luck!

I just made my first toddler hat with the Martha Stewart Loom Kit I bought for 1/2 price yesterday. I turned out really good. The only down side to using light blue pegs is that it is a little difficult to get in between the pegs, so I used a pen as a stylus to get in between. Took some getting use to but I did it. My hat looks great. I also noticed I used more yarn this time than normal because of so many more pegs. But over all I love with it. Excited to see more videos made with this kit

Thanks for these tips and tutorials! I am making the hat (with a k2P2 rib at the beginning) and I thought the loom looked too big so I removed one connector from each side just like you recommend. The metal tip of the tool broke off already but luckily I had one form my other loom. I'm looking forward to seeing more projects.

@jillisinGodshands I heard a tip the other day to place painters tape across the top & then place the pegs in. The tape holds it securely & you can use the tape to write on as a stitch marker! :-) Just pull off the tape after the project to re-configure. Another is to cut a 1/4 square of paper and push it in the hole with the peg. It also works on other looms that the pegs pop out. I hope that helps! Have fun and Happy Looming! -Kristen

@Evelyn Belle Long I don't like their weaving tool either. I use a Tunisian crochet hook. For larger weaving set ups. Mine is a little shorter but it works better for me. I'm sure there are longer ones out there or custom wooden ones online. i don't weave very often or I'd have a better source for you. Let me know if you find a good place to fine one though! I actually use a soft-headed mallet to bang the pegs in! That way I save my fingertips from getting sore.

i have a question...when i received my MS loom, i counted all the pieces and there are a lot of pegs missing in my loom kit. How do you contact them to see if you can purchase more pegs?

The One Dollar Store here had a dental pic set made out of metal that works good for looming and it's only a dollar.

I need help. This set is very frustrating for me because sometimes when I try to put the pegs in the connecting pieces, they do not go in all the way. Is this a common problem? I have actually broken a few pegs because of this, and I have not used the loom because of this.

+Sierra interesting! I haven't had that happen but if you contact Lion Brand i bet they will replace it for you! I've heard great things about them doing that or take it to your nearest store for an exchange.

+Sierra I had the same problem. Figure out which piece is the issue. For me it was the 6 hole pieces. If you are not willing to go through the hassle of returning it take an emery board and use it to file down the size of the tab that gets inserted into the other piece. Once I did that I was able to put the loom pieces together. You shouldn't have to do that but for me I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it and end up with the same issue.
