Omg me too I got a FULLY REVERTED ONE like six months ago and Omgness it’s sooo stunning & a HUUUGE one. It’s leaves are so large it looks like a Mature Dark lord. I have mine in a grow tent with 12hr lights on it. It’s now started pushing out these maroon leaves. Like I’m talking Entire leaves completely light maroon like lighter then the stalk of the plant. It’s over teo feet tall and I always tell my bf ~ I love this one more then my varigated ones.😹😹😹I have 3 regular ppp still varigated. I’ve actually been playing with lights to see what works best for them. More light = more pink forSure..

You're right Maria, as most variegated plants needs higher filtered light intensity to maintain its variegation, the Philodendron Paraiso Verde requires a reverse requirement, the oddities of plants... Pray for you & your hubby's complete recovery... Keep on sharing thru your awesome vlogs...Much love!

Awwwww thanks so much and hubby and I really appreciate your well wishing. We are back to normally and loving life! I am very confused with the Philodendron Paraiso as there are mixed messages on the care. I have seen some people grow their paraiso in bright light and it still variegates well. I have two of them so I am keeping one in brighter light and the other in shadier conditions so we'll see if that makes a difference. Thanks so much for watching and joining me on my plant growing adventures. I really appreciate it. I am wishing you the absolute best...stay blessed and safe my friend. HAPPY GROWING!

My pink princess reverted too since I placed it with more light, repotted 3 times and moved it too many places around my yard. I must have put it to too much stress but right now I see tiny specks of pink and variegated baby sprouting. I will cut a stem this spring, hoping it will turn variegated again like yours. Thank you for sharing and so happy you are back. I hope your husband is feeling better as well.🙏🌱🌿💐💞😘

The one that I got from Christine’s Tropical & Exotics is the one that is growing in the tree in the video. It never really variegated just a few tiny specks. I kept hoping it would give me variegations but it never did. So I gave up on it and just let it grow up the tree. With this experience I am going to chop up the vine completely and see if I can get get some variegations in the propagations. I’ll do a video on it when I do it. I am hoping that you are able to get yours to variegated. Who knew growing pink princesses would be so stressful! LOL!!! Please keep me updated on your pink princess journey. I am hoping to watch some videos on it...and yes hubby and I are on the road to a full recovery and feeling so much better! YAAAAAAAY! I am hoping you and the family are well. Hey Maria , I definately agree with you that by placing variegated plants in higher filtered light will make the colors more vibrant and for example with capsicum ( chili ) it brings out the Purple more in purple ornamental peppers while placing them in darker spots or indoors will turn the purple into green or where white is part of the variegation will replace the purple with white or green . Pretty amazing , right ? You are so refreshing with your unique personality and you are ( at least i think so) a very smart , strong Lady that is a great Inspiration for other Women . Ty and much love from the Black Forest ( Germany ).

Totally agree Pariso Verde is super sensitive to light. I also had to move it to a shadier spot and it improved the next leaf. I watched another KZbinrs video and he had the same experience. I feel like all my other plants want more light except for this one. Weirdo 😊 Hope you keep feeling better!! ♥️♥️

I also massively increased my variegation in my burgundy princess by cutting it. I did have a small section of pink striping in the stem so I cut down to that. Worked! ♥️

Right!!! It is such a weirdo!!! I can’t yet get a gage on it. I have to wait patiently to see what the new leaves will bring. OnlyPlants did a video of his HUGE highly variegated Paraiso and he said he kept his in bright and sometimes full sun...so now I am really confused. But I will continue to keep it in bright shade until it grows a few more leaves to finally determine how I want to grow it. We are feeling much better and pushing ourselves to get back on track. Haha tanks for the tips!! Love your energy and your videos. I have a hiya carnosa variegata from which I choped some cuttings for my grandma. Her plant is fully variegated and mine has almost completely reverted. My hypothesis was lighting. When I moved mine into a brighter spot the variegated leaves burned. In other bright spots the plant seems to keep going with its reversion... So it just may be bad luck. I've been removing the fully green parts... Let's hope it makes a change🙈

Awwwww thanks so much for your kind words and positive feedback. I really appreciate it! I am sorry to hear about your hoya. I find with the Variegated Carnosa types they often times will start producing solid leaves. I’ve been fortunate enough to hold the solid leaves at bay by cutting back to promote variegation. It is interesting to hear that once the leaves burned off the new leaves grew without variegation. I too am hoping you can get those beautiful variegations back. Please keep me posted on your results. I would love to find out what happens. I will keep my fingers crossed for you! Thanks for watching and HAPPY GROWING!!!

Happy you are feeling better. I'm curious if you've tried to use keiki paste to activate auxillary buds further down a reverted plant instead of chopping the top off completely? I mean why remove all of that beautiful growth and it could help the plant grow stronger if it keeps the green growth also. Just a thought.
@PictureMaria14 жыл бұрын
Thank you and no I haven’t tried using Keiki paste on nodes yet. I have always been made to believe that there is something in the physical act of cutting the plant that somehow triggers the plant it to recreate the variegation...it definitely would make for a good future experiment. Thanks for the suggestion.

I heard that to induce variegation in PPP, cut the reverted leaves, cut and cut, until it puts out a variegated leaf.
