I main Rieve and the ONLY TIME you need to 4v1 with her is probably taking control points with her ult if yoyr team is having trouble taking over or trophy case, same situation

From Kyber 1 i know you said that some of us would be here but seriously good tips. Team comp so often gets overlooked and the best thing i think you said was the mains for each category. I picked up Charr and played over 100 games to get to Kyber. But I still had to play Skorra or sometimes J3DI. These tips for sure will help anyone get out of “elo hell” as it’s known in Overwatch. Great video!!

Such a pet peeve when people 'maining' on ranked. Good players pick what's optimal for the team depending on maps and/or modes.

Yeah my mentality is, if I'm really dead set on playing a particular hunter at the moment (usually meaning I want to play a DPS), then I'll jump in Casual. If I queue in Ranked and it's any type of objective based mode, then I'll pick what the team needs. The one exception in ranked is straight up team deathmatch. In TDM, I don't really get that mad if teammates instapick DPS so I don't feel too bad just picking DPS too.

This is me with Beskar 1 and Kyber 3. I keep going back and forth between the two, but it's okay. There's still 30+ days in the season. I'm hopeful I'll get over this hump.

I recently went from kyber I all the way down to beskar I because of solo queing. Highly recommend adding any good teammates you find if you want to progress furthur as a solo.

@StarWarsHuntersHQ ya I think this is the key. Some Kyber matches I play... they are way too organized/coordinated to be a coincidence. I've been Solo all the way to Kyber 3. I'm on the Hunters Discord now and will try to start grouping soon.

Slingshot needs a rework. He is just too good at too many things. His speed and mobility allows him to grab the trophy first, runaway easily when low health, and also put a ton of check point pressure as he zips around the map to A, B, and C. His shield absorbs a ton of damage. His cluster rocket deal can pretty much 1 shot heroes like Reive at point blank. With top notch mobility, damage, and shielding, he is just too much. This is the biggest delta I've noticed now hitting Kyber. The Slingshot players live here and its rough.

what we need is comms even in a group you got cats running doing they own thing, if we need to capture A and B stay there stop 1v4ing for C then putting your squad in a pickle. Always have 2 tanks especially a sentinal.

Solo queue is easily winnabale, just pick imara vex, sentinel or the reptile depending on gamemode, gg goodluck!

When you say ranked isn’t down to skill but to do with how much playtime you’ve done, do you mean that I won’t be matched against people with similar ranks and I’ll be matched up with people with around the same playtime as me? Or do you mean for example the top 100 players aren’t actually the best they’ve just played more and have a slightly above average win rate?

It's sort of a mix of both really. The higher your rank, the higher the rank of the enemies you'll face, BUT sometimes you legit can be matched with someone 2-3 ranks below you for some reason. But I mostly mean what you said at the end. The top 100 players in the leaderboard, just have the most playtime in ranked more often than not. Doesn't mean they're not good players, they most definitely are, but the player ranked #1 isn't necessarily the best actual player in the world, because realistically playtime is what gets you more ranked points. More playtime = more wins = more ranked points

Solo queing to high ranks is difficult, but can be done. There is a point where you will need at least 3 players to progress in ranked tho, because of how matchmaking is in ranked mode. I definately wouldn't say that ranked is purely based off of play time. The players in higher ranks are almost always better than the players in the lower ranks.

Obviously. People who play more are generally better than people who don't play much. But it literally is based on playtime. I'm not amazing at the game or anything and have solo'd to Kyber in previous seasons, and am on my way this season too. It gets harder at the end for sure but it's not insanely difficult

@@SammyBoiiiSW ya that is true. I think the way to fix matchmaking is to make kybers only able to play kybers, and top 100 players only able to play top 100 players. This would increase the skill in rank, make matchmaking much more fair, and make ranked how it should be: more competitive and less grind based.

In theory that would work but if the top 100 could only match against the top 100, matchmaking would take ages. It'd be pretty rare that there'd be all 100 of them online to search for games at the same time etc., logistically it'd just be too hard. I do think stricter matchmaking overall would be good though, I'm sure they'll probably tune it a bit as the seasons go on!

A frustrating problem I face is as soon as I hit Kyber 3, I start playing 2's and 1's and ya.. the skill different between Beskar is tremendous. My last game, my entire team as Kyber 3 across the board. Enemy team... three Kyber 1's and a 2. Needless to say we got steam rolled. Almost certain they were on Discorz or whatever as well, grouped up.

Do not play solo queue ranked once you're within Beskar 1-3. Matchmaking for solo queue feels rigged in every way possible to keep you playing the game longer. You WILL be placed with players absolutely below your skill level on purpose! You will also be placed in matches with the same players repeatedly if you do not wait a few minutes after a match (Results in a guaranteed double loss if you had bad team mates)

It becomes clear, this game is shady. You start a game, it’s all bots. Robots move out of the way of your super moves, robots shoot you out of your super moves, it becomes ridiculous. 26,000 people downloaded and IM ONLY FIGHTING ROBOTS. Just like everyone else I’ve played every game offered. Years of call of duty and much more- I KNOW WHEN IM PLAYING A PERSON, I KNOW WHEN IM PLAYING A ROBOT. I shot a rocket at Utooni. He side stepped it. ITS A LOCK ON ROCKET. I’m fighting a slingshot and his health NEVER lowered. I’m shots gave him health. I’m almost 50, and I can tell when I’m being cheated. People can argue that it’s people with mods, but People make mistakes when they play. ROBOTS DO NOT. YOU GOT MY little $10. You can make George Lucas a character HIMSELF & you’ll NEVER get a penny or credit from me again. Whoever thought this was a good idea (like in other modern games) your a devil. And you ruined this game. The FUN that the game brings is so little I bet more than half the GOOD COMMENTERS will change their opinion very soon. NOBODY LIKE TROPHY CHASE. everyone loves (actual competition of death matches) remove the robots. Actually I don’t care, ima delete this trash anyway. I have a 3d printer. Better things to do than be cheated! Watch the bots run in small circles, those are the weak level, the high level bots prevent you from achieving anything and they work together to kill you. You fight 1 and the other is waiting for you on the calculated nearest health. The programmers are evil, but want you to give them money.

Another great tip don’t play soloQ ranked especially in higher ranks 💀 mainly. I most of the time get the most braindead teammates 🥲
