Great video. One suggestion: might want to cover off setting around Headphone Accommodations. In Settings, under the Accessibility section, there is a Hearing category that allows for the adjustment of audio settings for headphones. This includes options such as "Headphone Accommodations," which can be used to enhance the sound of speech, reduce background noise, and adjust the overall audio balance. Additionally, you can use "Live Listen" which uses the microphone on your AirPods or compatible headphones to amplify sounds around you, making it easier to hear a conversation in a noisy environment.

THANKS! The toggle for "Announce Messages with Siri" is a really useful button! My big problem though is that I want to GET MORE VOLUME FOR TRANSPARENCY. I wear hearing aids, and found that the AirPodsPro can adjust the gain of transparency, but with the MAX, I have Transparency ON and can't hear outside sounds. I can TELL that it is on, but you'd need to shout at me for me to hear at all. I'd love to be able to get it to work like the AirPodsPRO.

I stuck with basic black but they are truly epic I am enjoying them very much the sound profile is right up my alley I have always leaned to a flatter more balanced sound not bass heavy or jacked up treble so I find the sound pleasing and I have worn them for up to 4 hours straight with no physical discomfort what so ever, I have seen others complaining about their weight, and no listener fatigue. Battery life is also fantastic and the active noise cancellation is very good as well. They are a home run for me so far...the smart case is odd to say the least I really don’t know what they were thinking design wise with that case and I most likely will pick up the case from Waterfield Designs but it’s not a priority at the moment and it’s a bit of a fail to have to spend another $100 on a case for my $550 headphones.

I really don’t understand why the unplugged led is green for 15%. Why on earth did that not make it green=+75% yellow =below 50% and red=below 25%. I feel like that would be so much more helpful since these don’t have any way to recharge on the go like the AirPods case which means if you leave the house when they’re “green” with 15% battery that’s not a lot of playback time…I’ve never seen a green led mean “hey you’ve basically got a dead battery but you’re good to go.”

When I have on auto head detection and take off one earcuff it still plays the content but only plays on the earcuff thats still on. Pretty Cool.

I have them. You do notice a they are heavier when they are on your head as compared to the Sony M-4's but they are still comfortable.

They are heavy as like the Bose qc2 ! I own them both but in my opinion the AirPods Max are more comfy.

They are heavy, you can literally see that on the tech specs page, they are like 384 grams, but they don’t feel noticeably heavier than my Beats studio 3 which are 260 grams

I'd just test the transparency aspect. see if you can hear what's going on around you, even a finger snap. That will tell you which is Transparency vs ANC.

They didn’t put a 20 hour long battery with all the features turned on including automatic ear detection and just so you can turn it off. You’re not supposed to, you don’t have to. Like how you never turn your devices off when you don’t use it, like your phone, or watch, or AirPods, even vape pens. So yeah, wouldn’t count on it.

I have a pair that I got from a store that starts with best and ends with buy. I am on the fence about keeping them. Lately the past 3 weeks or so, every time I start to listening to something on my phone (iPhone 12 Pro Max) about 10 seconds into my listening they disconnect... for 550 bucks... that a big turn off! Hi Andrew and everyone! One question, do you notice if your AirPods Max will go to low power mode-disconnected from iPhone/iPad-after being put down and left stationary outside of the Smart Case for longer than 5 minutes? I want to leave my AirPods Max on a stand outside of its Smart Case for quick access, but I notice that the headphones continue to stay on and appear connected to my iPhone, which drains the battery charge. Any insights would be appreciated!

When taking them off they do sleep and barely lose any power even overnight, the case just puts them into a deep slumber so you won’t lose like any power. Maybe just a percentage point over night

Appears you can only get the front catch version and no adjustable hooks, a failed design if I have ever seen one, if it wasent for the gaps around the bottom I can see a use as ear warmers as well. It appears Apples design department don’t have a random substance testing programme for employees, this could explain a lot.

Too expensive for replacing ear cup and the bra 😆 . Anyone wearing headphones listening music know the ear cup will deteriorate and needed replacement. We always lost the Headphones Cover or carry case 😰 expensive for replacement as well

I have had two of them and had to send them back. The first ones had connection problems and right ear cup noise but I could reset them. I sent them back for a replacement. I got my second AirPods max and they were even worse. A different pair in a different colour. They had the same issues but won't resett. I'm getting a refund this time and refund on the apple care also. Very disappointed that Apple put out a product that doesn't match it's high price. When they worked they were great at times but the continuous problems on and off and then finally not being able to reset them made me just want a refund. They look great and are strong. The sound quality was brilliant at times and the noise cancellation the best. Another reason I didn't go for a replacement was that they wanted to send a replacement in the same colour. I wanted to make sue I didn't get the same ones back. I DON'T THINK THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IN STEVE JOBS DAY. I also had all my devices on the latest upgrades of software and the headphones are also. Didn't make any difference to the annoying things happening at times with them. I tried everything to get them sorted.
