Awesome to hear dude! I think there are some definite upsides and downsides to the Luton body but I’ve grown up in normal panel campers and I am now a strong advocate for the Luton body! I think it’s such a massive upgrade, I hope you enjoy the van life travels we have coming too!

As you have externally mounted water tanks, are you insulating/heating them to prevent them from freezing? 🤔

So temperature fluctuations have been something I have had a deep dive into as this is a really good point, the water tank itself I am not too worried about as I did make a sleeve to go around it if we do go somewhere with weather consistent below freezing and frankly I don’t want to spend too much time freezing my booty off, the pipes however I will definitely be insulating as they can freeze quick! Good question though dude!

@ There have been a few vanlifers who have had issues with freezing pipes blowing taps/shower mixers etc. and making a right mess! If that external tank cracks it will be a nightmare 😬😩

Ohhh yeah I’m not surprised about the pipes causing a tonne of issues, we have been on a lovely adventure in the last month which we filmed but it’s around Italy so the cold does not play a part down here 😂 but we do intend on going up to Norway very soon which will definitely present some risks with the cold, I guess we will see what the van becomes when preparing for it, insulation going on everything underneath the van will be a must do! If you have a sec, can you chuck me a video of someone having those plumbing issues, just as I want to see where they went wrong! The tank cracking however I do not see that happening but I guess with enough cold weather it’s possible!
