6th of August - 2024 - UPDATE - Still Working!!! Albeit with a few minor questionnaire differences from microsoft at the end. However, be very aware of what he says at @3:48 . Make sure to use the backslash, otherwise it wont work. i had to copy the slash symbol from the command line and past it directly using CTRL+C . CTRL+V . so safe to say this is still working. Still works as of 28-Mar-2024! By the way, fabulous video, THANK YOU! I did discover, however that you do NOT need to disable the Ethernet device. So you can skip the .cpl step and the disable/re-enable. It will still give you the "I don't have internet" to click. That way you can avoid a few unnecessary steps.

It totally works. Make sure you're pressing the "FN" key as well, when pressing Shift+F10, AND ensure you're spelling the words correctly in the cmd...

So, my update of the Windows 11 pro version H23H is installed on my 12 year old Acer Aspire 5750g laptop and was digitally activated using the Windows 10 serial that I had. Currently, it's conducting and installing necessary upgrades 😂. There is absolutely no difference in performance, and it's working normally. Quite incredible to be honest, I'm happy as Larry.

I hope on the next windows version they will stop trying to force people to create accounts just to use their pc... it's kinda ridiculous... and as of Friday 4th October 2024 this method still works. Thanks. The only thing that didn't work for me was disabling the wifi. It said it was enabled by a different user (system user). I however proceeded with the rest of the steps and was able to login without a MS account.

Unfortunately, this didn't work for me because my laptop keyboard becomes disabled when I press FN+ Shift+F10 to open the Administrator command prompt. I cannot type 'oobe\BypassNRO' (or anything) to set up a local account atm! The keyboard works fine otherwise. I called Dell tech support about this issue and was told local accounts cannot be set up anymore due to Microsoft's new policy! However, I really want to set up my new laptop with only a local account. Any ideas on how to do so would be appreciated!

As you see i did this without problem so this method still works , try to do this without FN , You have to make sure you connect with internet first , than next , you haelve to se the window that you stack sign in , after you have to try to open up cmd

@@Tips2Fix Yeah its one of those things thats hard to figure out as not many know the functions of the fn button on laptops, they are all different and aren't just used for f keys especially on smaller keyboards that need to fit the functions of a full size keyboard & controls like volume, brightness, ect. Only after using smaller laptops do I now start to value having a full size keyboard.
