I love it !! So cute and peaceful ! The white cats are definitely a great edition !! I also struggle with acrylics. So hard to blend and my style is very rendered ... So it takes me 10x the time to do something in acrylic than in markers X) (I am faster with markers than watercolours but I love watercolour too !)

If you're looking for brushes that won't break the bank but are good for acrylics, I recommend the Princeton Snap brushes. I have a whole range and find I don't need super fancy brushes with these. I love how your pieces came out with these paints, for not being very experienced with them. I have more of the M Graham, Sennelier and Holbien ranges for regular colors. Though I do have the Arteza metallic gold set and their Iridescent paints for special effects and they're really nice. Looking forward to seeing what more you can create with these paints. And yeah, that's the thing about acrylics is that they have a bigger 'ugly' stage than other mediums tend to have. I also suggest if you want to speed up drying between layers using a hair dryer or heat gun if you have one. It works just as well with acrylics as watercolors/gouache.

Oh those swatches are so satisfying. I loveeeeee watching swatches and doing them myself especially when I don't have time or energy and want to feel a brush in my hand. The last painting is my favourite piece of the ones that you did. It's definitely a place that I would like to visit if it existed.

I hate acrylics but this kinda makes me want to get good at them so I can put something like that on my wall haha

the better canvas use linen (less stretch), most use cotton (synthetics are also a thing)and even then you can get differences in weave/weight quality of those. the higher the weight, generally a better canvas. it actually can get pretty complicated to find canvas that suits you and how you work. smooth canvas or rough? what material? stretched or in rolls, etc....I'm glad I don't really paint any more lol
