Tiramisu The no bake Italian Coffee Cake

Tiramisu is an Italian and very popular mascarpone custard and coffee soaked cake. So delicious even tea drinkers love. Light, delicious and made without baking. Easy to make recipe with no baking.
Made from bought sponge ladyfingers, dipped in coffee and layered with a mascarpone whipped egg mixture and topped with cocoa. This version doesn't use cream yet still very creamy and totally indulgent. Originated in the region of Veneto in Italy in the 1960's. Despite its complexity, this version requires very few ingredients and is quite simple to make. A great no bake dinner party dessert as it's all made in advance the day before. Tiramisu, one of the best cake recipes you'll ever make without baking.

As per ServSafe GUIDELINES. This is definitely a no no! Those eggs should've been put in a double boiler and brought to a safe temperature. Chef or not, this is not the proper way to make tiramisu..you can get someone sick or worse!

Why is there such a phobia on raw eggs. Don't touch the eggshell when separating, and it's very unlikely you'll catch anything. More chances of contamination in salads.

You do not bake this! If using eggs, just put in a glass bowl and wisk it over a double boiler on a low flame until you get a custard texture. Or leave the eggs out entirely and substitute with a instant pudding whipped cream and mascarpone mixture.
