I did my tires yesterday and I wanted to share some tips with you guys. 1. Use Tire/Rim Cleaner + Goo Gone + Pressure Washer and Sponge to Prep the tire. Don't let the Goo Gone sit too long it will crack the rubber on the sidewall. Follow up with 1000-2000 grit sandpaper to lightly scrub the parts you're painting. It'll help the paint stick. 2. PAINT THICK and EVEN COATS! Even if it takes 4-5 Coats make sure the paint is bright and thick. Approx 1.5 hours labor per tire. If the oil from the tire starts to mix with the paint marker then take a 5-10 minute break and come back. If you're right handed, paint left to right and vise versa. It will minimalize smudging. WEAR PLASTIC GLOVES. 3. USE SNEAKER WATER PROOFER SPRAY to protect the surface. Don't use clear coat. Clear coat will yellow and also has chemicals that loosen/dissolve the paint. Any brand sneaker water proofer should work. USE several coats, the tire will absorb the first few. 4. Cover the letters with masking tape if you go threw the car wash. A high pressure spray might take off the paint. Might. If you hand wash your car you will be fine. Also. Use the Miluwakee brand paint markers. Some people swear by sharpie markers but they're garbage and can't combat the tire oil. (Oil based) The paint with the Milwaukee is thick and bright + they dry in "10 sec" and they are very easy to use.

The best way to apply tire paint is to take off the wheel and put it on an even surface. Then just paint the shit out of it and dip a tooth stick into nail polish remover to clean the outlines. takes around 30min/tire and lasts at least 6-9 months. Longer on a bike because the sidewall of the tire doesn't deform as much.

You actually get better results painting it on the car because the tire is stretched out less chance of cracking later I use a dry Brillo pad for cleaning up drips. In fact if you lettering is indented you could just fill that shit with paints and scrub away right over the top of it. It will be looking super clean when you're done.

For washes I’d say maybe after like 10 washes? The paint holds up very nicely. Never used a brush but tire cleaner had no effect

Hey, fellas: I did a combo of both stickers and paint. What I mean is that I ended up painting my tire stickers. Here's why: First off, the tire stickers just wouldn't stick! Even after scrubbing them clean with Acetone. I ended up having to re-glue the pealing edges and ended up making a complete mess of both my tires and the stickers. After clean up with acetone and the sticker cleaner that came with them--the tires and stickers still looked a hot mess. Anyway, I ended up hand painting over my stickers with the tire paint and they look much better. I then covered the now dry stickers with painters tape and cut out around the edges. Then I spray painted in between the letters with matter black automotive spray paint. When I removed the stenciling tape, I found that the stickers now look amazing! The whole process was multi-day bitch to complete, but now I'm happy. However, this is not an easy mod!

Use automotive rubber or plastic decal glue it won't degrade the rubber of your tires or tire lettering and it leave less visible residue than super glue! Apply a thin line down the middle off the tire decal following the contours of the lettering and then go back over it to spread the decal glue over the entirety of the back of decal using a small bristled paint brush, also wear gloves, then apply slowly to tire and use heat gun to quick dry to touch but let sit for and hour or so to adhere firmly enough to drive, fully cures in 12 hours!

for the most part, so far so good. The only thing is the tire paint on the front wheels have begun to fade. I don't know if this is from brake dust or if i somehow didnt put the same amount of coats on the front as i did the back. nothing has happened that a couple more coats of paint cant fix.
