Hey CF, another great video. I last changed the tires on my 997.2 C2S in 2018, going from the OE Michelin PS2 to the first gen Conti ECS in the factory sizes (for my XRR Carrera Sports, which have a 305 rear). My decision to go ECS was much like yours, with the additional factor that Michelin PS4S were always out of stock other than early spring, so a damaged tire could end up being hard to replace mid-season. I have been quite pleased with the durability of the tire - they have no obvious tread wear with almost 13,000kms/8K miles (I'm sure there is measurable wear, just not noticeable to the eye), and the rain performance which was much better than the PS2s when they were new. I find that the ride on the ECS is a little rougher, yet steering response isn't quite as good. I also notice that they are prone mild flat-spotting from parking (ie when I take the car out after a few days of not driving, there are some tire shakes until they heat up), but not as bad as older Contis, or even worse with Bridgestones. I'm likely going to be changing the tires in the next year or two due to age, I will likely buy the Contis again.

What PSI do you keep the tires at? Coming from old Michelin PSS tires, my ride actually got smoother. No negative feedback on the steering response and on track performance is very predicatble.

@@CarFanatic I have them at the pressures on the door sticker (the non-high speed). Note that mine are the first gen ECS, it's possible that these are things they've improved with the ECS2. Also, my comparison is to the Michelin PS2 N-rated, not PSS.

Ah, the ECS02 is a drastic improvement over the prior tire. In the reviews, the general consensus was that the Continentals were as good, if not better, than the MPS4S. They're also a bit cheaper. Highly recommend them.

Nice 997.2S! A couple questions: - What’s the potential of bore scoring on the DFI engine? - Does it have enough power and torque for everyday driving on the street?

Reviews? You mean the subjective and uncontrolled ratings?

Yes but it's the best we have to go on. It's just not feasible to try a bunch of tires before buying.

I just take it for what it is - some feedback from someone who just bought them. In his video description, I think he accurately says that they are HIS IMPRESSIONS of the tires.
