I'm a big fan of having a proper air tank in the garage. Remove the valve core and you can seat any of these tires easily. Regarding the zip tie trick, i know the dirt bike guys will sometime use C clamps to get the beads to touch while they secure the zipties. Armordilloz and flat out seem to be very very similar products. I switched over to flat out as it's significantly more cost effective. Good video journey, hope you don't need to do that again anytime soon!

I used to have a tanked compressor at the old house. Didn't make the trip with me to the new house. I have used ratchet straps too but the tire shop was quick and easy!

I love my MTen3 but the tire could never hold me - plenty strong motor but the tire would not keep me up for too long at 235lbs (16.5 stone). There are gray rubber tires of solid foam made for mobility and agriculture applications, I haven't sourced any of them yet but it seems ones that will fit are out there. I think there's a point in any use case where you find advantages when your wheel has little or no air, or even solid core (more esk8 but you get it). I've seen enough of those little gray tires on stuff I've used and they're always nice and springy, just right for deforming to rough surfaces but don't great too much performance issue on smoother surfaces. Thanks for putting this up, I will be referring back to it when I finally crack mine open. Still runs great ;-) and it fits in my current backpack nicely. 😀I want to be able to be the guy when someone breaks/drains their wheel who pulls the baby wheel out with indestructible tire on it and says "I was preparing for this very moment". lol

Could also try modifying inserts that already exist - I think Cushcore was making fat tire inserts that might be wide enough and you can cut down from full size MTB length. I am fairly certain there are full foam core inserts for something that size in a scooter tire (like tire socks and chains too), or again, if a MTB full core exists that can be trimmed down that might work too.

Somebody commented that they installed a solid rubber scooter tire on their Mten3. Obviously the ride is on the harsh side but no more flats.

Wow, what a coincidence, I just sent my mten3 to ewheels to get my tire changed out a few days ago. Mine had the some black gunk in the rim too but I didnt slime it myself. Pretty gross stuff!
@Duf3 ай бұрын
Oh nice, what do they charge to do it?
@marty17653 ай бұрын
@@Duf It was 250, including the new tire and shipping back and forth. The major drawback is the 5 day shipping, Id like to ride sooner! 🤣
@Duf3 ай бұрын
@@marty1765 Ok not bad I guess when you throw shipping in there.

I heard FlatOut is good. I never tried it but it's supposed to last for 10 years and not gunk up.

My understanding is latex based sealants like Slime will all wind up this way.

Flat out isn't supposed to dry out like slime. I've been using it for years in ebikes, onewheels, and EUCs. No issues so far.

Is any product better than another from a drying out over time prospective? IMHO, it all dries out over time if not replenished, if it didn't dry out it couldn't plug a hole.

As far as I have read this does not harden like Slime does

I keep slime with me on longer rides ... just in case. It is only so useful anyway. They have more $$$ stuff that has some material in it to block slightly bigger holes , but in general anything bigger than a nail or small screw you will praying to the tube jebus it holds. it really is only ment to get you home so you can replace the tube haha. Those that will say they have been ridding on a slime fixed tube for millions of miles......you used to much , and rewatch this vid. yours is 10X worse HAHAHA Good vid Duff.
