It's annoying yes.. Hero's Downfall is in standard now - but it does not really even trade 1 for 1 for planeswalker as plansewalkers get one activation you cannot really do anything about besides countering the walker in the first place - or perhaps tidebinder.. And Sunfall is still there so Azorius control is not really struggling.

@@Jawzah I’m not even saying its for azorius, neither is control struggling, I’m just saying it was an awesome, unique card that people just hate because it Could 1-4-1 trade and make a token afterwards. Its just soft to be so pressed by it 😭

Idk why there are plenty of sorceries and enchantments to deal with it. I think you were just playing someone who didnt want a lengthy game.

Good old prototype creatures.. Not seen much of those lately but I'm already playing as many Shoot the Sheriff as Go for the Throat. Perhaps should play more - because screw Sunfall - screw the occasional big score golem generator too.

I am trying so hard to find a good home for Elenda. With every deck playing so many removals, hexproof from instants seems awesome. I have tried out vampire tribal, stacking auras/equipment on Elenda and life gain with Bloodthirsty Conqueror so far, but nothing seems truly amazing. Just got decent results so far.

Wowzer ASH! ELENDA IS SUCH A BRILLIANT INCLUDE IN THIS DECK. . I remember when Bro War came out I took orzhov scam from gold to mythic #6.MTG Joe even showcased the deck on his channel. But gone are the days of 4x undying Malice and 4X of Not Dead and 4X of Touch the Spirit Realm. I was so excited to see Charming Prince back in standard. He was one of the first cards I crafted when the set dropped and man is he as good as he was a few years ago! Esp because the prototype creatures. Also all the new blink cards. Parting guest etc. But instead of playing the saddle creature I play 3 of Combat Thresher for a little more card draw and double strike. Also Orzhov is great for Legions of ashes main board. Also the black white discard spell is good. And pest control in sideboard. Also Loran is a great Meta tech card right now against all the enchantment decks. And blinking her is great too! Also was experimenting with Unholy Annex because of all the huge life gain. And annex plus Shelly in this deck is broken. Let me know what you think of these possible alternates. ❤

Elenda is definitely good top end for a mid range orzov list like this one, the main issue is that she is somewhat overshadowed by the lifedrain combos and how underwhelming she can end up feeling vs azorius reanimator if they manage to dance around the removal well. Still more functional than ayli who feels like she is supposed to be payoff for token spam.

39:50 I can tell you what there hand looks like because I've been this guy. Its 4 Archfiend of The Dross and Tear Asunder. 5 useless cards when your stuck at 3 lands. Those moss wood dreadknights were top decks. The Lili discard is objectively bad play though
