You make a lot of awesome points and I enjoyed watching this video a thing that I was taught and that I now teach is lining up your lower knuckles when you’re gripping the bat if done right you lower or completely take out barrel roll through the zone so now you have a more stable barrel through the zone that can cause less rollovers and create more hard hit balls that are going to stay true

Troy, I noticed a lot of my players who rolled over a lot did so because they constantly tried to pull pitches low and away. And since they were hook barrels they rolled over. Like you said, you eyes tell you to put the barrel on the bat. I noticed my kids were out in front of an outside pitch, put barrel on it and let their hands roll instead of “going with the pitch.” What do you think?
