My home town missing a lot. Remembering 5 years before. For every Deepam my father and me used to go by two wheeler seeing all the crowd and buy some fancy items in Deepam shops and firing karpuram in front of main gopuram. Now i am in Chennai with my husband, 2 months pregnant also. Like to see deepam at 6pm. Praying to God next year with my baby, husband and father i should visit deepam in thiruvanamalai.

From the new bus stand bus available for every 15 minutes. The bus number is 215 and you can board a private bus also.

Unfortanutely Southern Railways missed this big opportunity..Despite being a big town and temple city of tamilnadu SR showed continued negligence towards this route..They operate special trains for every deepam from Central Now the issue is, They only extended chennai beach train to tvm for 2 months on a experimental basis..Timings weren't that great then (Dep at 4 Am in tvm)..Then it stopped the service..Real Demand is between Tambaram to tiruvannamalai only and Previously there used to direct train between tambaram - tiruvannamalai in metre gauge daily..Also puducherry-tirupati train also operated via tiruvannamalai.. After Broad gauge conversion not a single train were restored till now except villupuram-katpadi train and few tirupati expresses via tvm..Thousands of passengers daily travel between chennai and tiruvannamalai via bus..Bus service available to chennai each 5 minutes/24 hrs..Bus fare - (Rs180 in normal-215 in deluxe A/C bus)..Each bus will be full despite frequent bus service..now imagine the demand of this route.. Southern Railways Please Operate trains b/w tambaram- tiruvannamalai and Chennai Central - tiruvannamalai In day time..then only it is usable for wider people..

Unlike other stations tiruvannamalai has two lines to get connected with chennai line..one via villupuram and the other is katpadi.. Single track isn't the problem btw these lines there are so many stations with 2-3 platforms nd tracks..so crossings will be easily sorted out..best ex:Kpd-tpty line.. Just open where is my train and check how many trains are operated b/w this route..Also slag times are too high in this route to compensate crossing timing issues

Ajay Bro special thanks for this video and ending the same at Tiruvannamalai Railway Station for which you had to walk extra half km. That shows your dedication towards your travel videos. I AM also suprised as to why there is no Direct Daily Train to Tiruvannamalai from Chennai Egmore / Tambaram. Tiruvannamalai is an important temple town and also has Ramana Ashram. When this was route was in Meter gauge, Girivalam special trains used to be Run from Tambaram. From Chennai Beach to Chennai Egmore only one track is available for Express/ Goods trains. That could be also one of the reasons for delay for arrival tranis from Korukkupettai Jn. Waiting eagerly for your Deepam Video. God bless you Ajay.
