See my mom raised me so much like Lorelei and I love their relationship as mother and daughter. It reminds me of the relationship I had with my mom but much like Rory I went off and made my own mistakes despite my mom wanting me to be better. It made me identify with Rory so much. No one is perfect and sometimes you make many big mistakes and not having that perfect set up of watching your mom being in love with your father growing up together can really skew what love should look like for yourself. It’s such a good show…

The thing is sometimes past mistakes stay with you forever and honestly he did try to be better and he did but remember we are watching a show where we see both perspectives, Rory doesn’t see his perspective and if we are being realistic it’s hard to work through things with the past always lurking around with new triggers due to that person

Out of all of the boyfriends Rory had, Jess was the one with who she truly had a connection and loved her just like she was. Everybody else projected their own fears on her, even Lorelai. But I have to say Jess was selfish when she asked her to leave, he knew she loved stars hollow and she was finally on Yale, it was what she worked for her whole life. I think Rory should have been more open minded and talk it throught, but she was afraid, she was afraid of how much she loved him and how she could get hurt again...and then she goes and sleeps with Dean :/
