I can not confirm what David said there. I've also seen both in person and the Quartz Version definitely looks more purple. Just like in the Video. Maybe there is different versions? On the Tissot Website they also look identical, in reality they do not.

It's because of the anti reflective coating from the automatic. That's why it looks prettier when you look at it. There is a glare when you look at the quartz.

I got the automatic a few weeks ago. I love it. And I looked at the quartz version at a watch maker. The video shows the dial colors good: the quartz has a purple tint while the automatic is deep blue.

The seconds hand is completely misaligned with the dial markers on the quartz version. 😳 Thank you for the video, now I know quartz one would not make me happy.

The silicium Powermatic 80 has a silicium main hairspring which is’nt effected by high magnetic 🧲 fields, and is less prone to be at the watchmaker for fine adjustment. These silicium springs are only available in the higher-end Tissot watch family🤩, and can’t be bought to retrofit older models☹️

This is the nicest Tissot since the PR100 372/472 -1 (the blue one) I l had it and love that watch but was stolen. I wonder If I should try to find one (not easy) or buy the Gentelman

Well this video settles it for me. The quartz acts like a cheap quartz Timex in that the seconds hand never lines up (bothers me to no end), and its purple. The crown is smaller on the quartz version, and it with it being thinner, it looks like its missing half the watch. I’ll keep saving for the automatic. Thanks for the video! This is super helpful!

Please don’t put any more reviews with a white background there’s another watch channel that does that and it just washes out the colors on any watch that you’re trying to compare a black background or dark background is much more appropriate for these kind of videos.

Y. Selim The Tissot is from my point of view more accessible money-wise, Longines are part of the Swatch group too but are usually more of everything (resale value is higher) but at a higher price. Take both watch and try them at a watch house & let your heart ❤️ decide.

So I actually bought the Quartz one for my dad, however the website where I got it from, showed it to be a royal blue colour, whereas it is most definitely a purple, a somewhat feint/diluted purple as well. I really wanted a royal blue dial, so I ended up sending it back :( Few other points: * I wish the hands were a bit more "3d", because under a lot of lighting conditions, they end up looking flat * I wish the bracelet tapered to something reasonable like 18 mm or even 16 mm - this would make this watch feel much more elegant
