This was the first teaser trailer for the 2000 film that was shown before Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Other than being shown before Episode I, this teaser trailer can't be found anywhere else, other than on the 1999 VHS Print of Office Space.

This is one of the most underrated films of all time. It broke FOX's animation studio, and they shut down for a while. i was in highschool when this came out, and now, 16 years later, I'm showing it to my kids for the first time. The love it despite growing up on modern animated greats. That says something.

This trailer was a fever dream - definitely aired before The Phantom Menace. Summer 2000 felt so far away at the time. I remember getting the soundtrack which was absolutely fantastic and recalling as a young kid that there was a preview for it what felt like years before the movie actually came out but never watched it until much later...the animation is really cool. Super under-appreciated movie.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people were very shocked when it was revealed it was directed by Don Bluth and Gary Oldman. Because this trailer showed no animation outside from the space shown in this teaser, it didn't even look like a Don Bluth movie in this trailer.

When I saw this trailer I was much younger, and I did not clue in that the movie was going to be animated. I thought it was going to be live action. I was unbelievably excited to see a live action movie about Earth being destroyed by aliens, and to see how humans manage in space (kind of like a live action StarCraft). When I realized it was going to be animated, I was really disappointed. I still have not seen Titan AE.

Well I'm not sure if this would be juicy but Titan was supposed to be dark and gritty like Heavy Metal. Once companies like Burger King got involved everything had to get "family friendly" and that's when the re-writes started. Also we started another animated film that was supposed to save the studio called Africa. The tests we animated at 24fps and each character used over 100 colors. Oprah was slated to be one of the leads too but we know what happened with Fox. :-(
