You only had 8 quarts in your bucket there (2 gallons = 8 quarts). Plus what was in the pan, I’d say you overfilled your transmission by about 2 quarts if you filled it with 11 quarts. Nice! Classic KZbin mechanic.

5.6 Titan has a sealed transmission and as far as I know you have to spill and fill several times to get all the old fluid out.

From what I've read Cummins married up with the same transmission they used in Dodge 2500 and 3500.

please add Titan year and diesel to the title. Titan XD trucks 2020 and later have the 9 speed tranny. No more diesel engine with the 6 speed

Dude. You have no info on anything. Also, Titan owners need to know that ATF should be changed after 105K miles , if you tow or haul heavy stuff often then that is different and you should change every 30K or check your manual. ALSO, if you use AMSOIL, you void your warranty, so beware.

I own a 2016, and your information is far from correct. The manual states every 20,000 change for the filter and the fluid regardless of towing. I called my local dealership, and they recommended a full synthetic valvoline or amsoil atf fluid. This video was very informative and correct in every way.
