Hello at Titan Drones-FL crazy question but do you think with the new release of the DJI smart control remote be something that you will be able to mod up with one of your switch antenna systems
@titandronesystems23776 жыл бұрын
The cabling won’t be the issue but from the looks of it the way we mount to the rc now certainly won’t work so that would all have to be figured out
@capt.barbossa34796 жыл бұрын
Titan Drones Inc. You guys are geniuses I'm pretty confident that you guys will figure it out and come up with some kind of solution to have your products compatible, especially your switch system to work with the new smart controller....!I'm sure you guys will make it much more smarter...lol👍

I purchased this antenna mod for my Mavic pro one which it did give me a boost in range and signal. But, now with my new Mavic 2 Pro and the improved in signal strength what benefits would I be seeing in Signal performance by using this mod? With the controller left as stock people are reporting a maximum distance of 6 miles. What would I gain by installing this mod? In doing a test myself with the stock controller I have dared to fly out as far as 16,000 feet in one direction while maintaining great signal. Your thoughts?
@slcscannervideos43246 жыл бұрын
Exactly with range 5-6 miles on the Mav 2 there is no need for this Mod on the Mav 2. On some of the others for sure but not on the Mav 2.
@lowhombre6 жыл бұрын
There is not enough battery life on the drone to go further than 6 miles. So this mod is pointless.
@michaelkaplan6046 жыл бұрын
I have gone 20,000 feet out and still maintained 4 bars of signal strength. This mod was great for the Mavic Pro 1 but I would like to know what I would be gaining by using it with my Mavic 2.

I’ve been flying my Mavic 2 Pro for about a month (roughly 10hrs flight time, 80miles total), and have yet to see it go further than 2.2 miles without losing BOTH signals. Except for 4-5 maybe, all flights have been in the countryside & multiple locations. Using both Omni & directional panels amplified (the Switch antennae system), I am able to extend the range of my Inspire 1 by about 50% in the same locations that I’m now flying my Mavic 2 in. I reckon that when I do the Mavic 2 mod for the Switch System, I will still only be able to reach the spec distances DJI advertises. So, yes, I do see the need for this upgrade. If you decide to do the same, you certainly won’t be disappointed. This company has an impeccable reputation, and they stand behind their products like no other.

Nice! I finished this video and I love the quarter turn hardware and the snaps are rad (antenna base connection). Here’s my question :spark can get some too? I’m not that fancy with a mavic any generation but I do fly everyday in a challenging environment . Downtown very URBAN lots of tall high-rise obstruction. I launch off the 15th floor patio and the whole south side of this building is solar panels . It’s hard to get strong connection sometimes . Also ; this antenna mod, does it switch between 2.4 & 5.8 or is it a choice between hardware? Thank you
@titandronesystems23776 жыл бұрын
You choose 5.8 or 2.4. It’s available for the spark as well. In fact the mod kit is identical

It adds a little over a pound. A 9.7” iPad almost perfectly counter balances it. As soon as dji sells remotes separately we will offer that

Warranty Issues!! I had an issue with my Mavic pro 1 and Dji asked me to return it under warranty for repair (NOT the Controller Just the Bird) warranty issues I believe center around the aircraft as opposed to the controller but I`m sure there have been failures in that area too just nowhere near as many as with the bird itself so don't worry if you need to mod for range

The controller can always be taken back to stock of you have to return it..

is this worth voiding your warranty and carrying all that stuff? Plus I never really have signal issues.
@titandronesystems23776 жыл бұрын
You don’t void your warranty as it’s completely reversible. Plus you don’t have to carry anything unless you need it. You can just snap on the whips and fly. If you have no issues with signal this isn’t for you...

Because the Mavic2 diversity system is 2.4G and 5.8G...And you antenna mod is only 2.4G..It seems like your mod will downgrade the Oucsync2 to just Ocusync?
@xmr3236 жыл бұрын
I wondered this myself but from my understanding the 5.8Ghz channels generally are pretty crappy overall in most locations and you are better off just running pure 2.4. I believe in the video he stated the whip cables without the amplifier provide omnidirectional 2.4 and 5.8Ghz signals.

I just ordered mine today as in some situations i start cutting out around 3500ft and about 300agl. I normally reach 4700 before completely cutting out. North eastern USA is heavily wooded for the most part and flying in fields is boring. I can report back some other time about how far this gets me if you like. It really depends on where you fly. Of course we all would love to have no interference but sadly things happen.

The current Mavic 2 transmit / receive signal is very good and strong as is. Can you give me an example of where this is needed? I bought the 4hawks for the I2 because the transmit signal distance is not as good as the Mavic 2 or P4P. Just wondering....
@titandronesystems23776 жыл бұрын
For those who need it in highly congested WiFi areas and areas with physical obstructions such as trees or buildings. Regardless of max distance specs listed in marketing they are ideal conditions. Some people can’t get past 2300 feet in their areas and/or want more reliable video feed. We feel signal penetration and using the right antenna in the right environment is key. Range is a byproduct of that if that happens to be what you are looking for. A directional antenna is a poor choice in areas with close physical obstructions as you can get worse then stock of the signal reflects off the obstruction. The switch gives you the easy option to choose which antenna to use based on where you are flying. So long story short if you don’t need it then it’s not for you :)

Some companies don't like modifications to their equipment either in or out of warranty. Back to U......

I see so you are under the assumption that every single aircraft in every single environment can fly with signal and video until the battery runs out. This has already been discussed a few times if you’d care to scroll down a bit. These systems are designed for people who need them. If that’s not you that is great!
