Titanfall 2 is back! So of course I'm going to teach you how to play with gyro aim!

FAQ:
Q: Can gyro be used on consoles?
A: Yes, but it's only available on a limited list of games. If you want it for your favorite game, ask the developers about it.
Q: Can I use your configs on non-steam games?
A: Yes! Just change the name of the non-steam game to the steam ID of that game (that you can easily find on SteamDB), and you'll have access to all community configs. If the steam overlay doesn't work, try using a program called GLOSSI.
Q: Can gyro emulate the right analog stick?
A: It can, but it's not ideal. My configurations all emulate a mouse, unless stated otherwise.
Q: What is the name of the 3D Controller Overlay?
A: It's called 3D Controller Overlay (created by: @larfingshnew6965) It's free!

Q: When I press the “home” button in-game, nothing happens. (PC only)
A: make sure that the drivers of your controller are active by going to: Steam, Settings, Controller, enable Steam Input for the controller that you are using.
Also, activate “Use Big Picture Overlay when using a controller” by going to Steam, Settings, In-Game.

Titanfall 2 was one of the few games I played after finally clicking with gyro, and even though I enjoyed it a lot I wished it did. I’m glad I was able to when I got it on steam.

The DualSense (especially the DualSense Edge for the paddles) IS.. A.. BEAST!. M$ with their Elite S1/S2 are just way behind inhaling the dust.. AND holding everyone on their platform back.

Haptics doesn't work with the DualSense, but they do (or did, I'm not sure) with the Steam Controller and the Switch Pro Controller. Steam Controller had a unique haptics feature, because trackpads don't give you much of a tactile response, so you can configure haptics to add a little bit of friction.

@NYANWEEGEE Haptics no, but vibration effects in games are emulated. Also there are a number of games that support Adaptive Triggers and Gyro natively (usually only via USB, not wireless)

The only thing I would personally add to these games, is what Armored Core VI (which also is very fun with Gyro! Been trying it out a lot), and I think modern CoD games do, and it's to ALWAYS show menu prompts for your selected input, so they don't constantly change in-game. So sad Apex doesn't accept mixed input this well... The game is really lagging behind in a lot of features if I'm honest. Still, Titanfall 2 with Gyro is amazing fun! Thanks for this profile!

Rhe reason he has that controller icon is because he connected a controller to his pc. When you dont have a controller connected the icon for the controller will not be there. Atleast i think that is what you mean. correct me if i undestood your question wrong.

Congrats on making it work. I tried a lot of different methods, but found the game too demanding in movement tech to be comfortable with gyro

Yeah, this game was the first one that I thought "I need back paddles". But using the bumper jumper mode made it much easier. This config is really nothing fancy, I figured that using a high vertical sensitivity is a must for this game.

Titanfall 2 is one of the games that have great gyro aiming when a right stick is emulated instead of a mouse. I was able to create a simple profile for Titanfall 2 in DS4Windows, and it feels absolutely awesome! You just need to perform some simple adjustments inside the game settings, and you're good to go 😁

If it works like Apex Legends, yes. But personally I don't recommend using aim assist with gyro. It feels very bad, like a magnet doing the opposite of your desired movement.

@@aaa-sz9ul Hard to say for sure, my sensitivity is very high, it's hard to notice if assist actually helping. I don't know how it works in TF 2's multiplayer UPD - just opened TF2 and control settings, I was unable to find aim assist option there🤔

Last time I tried to do this, it didn't work. I know the Steam-version still requires Origin, but something about the original release prevents the game from utilizing Steam's settings even if I launch it as a non-Steam game.

Huuuum... Interesting. I bought the game on steam and I didn't have any problems, make sure that on steam settings, on the controller tab, you have your controller of choice, active. And make sure that there are no additional programs utilizing your controller, let Steam do all the work. I don't remember if the game still uses origin, I don't think it does anymore. If you bought the game outside of steam, add it as a non-steam game and launch Steam in administrator mode.

I found this in you sting better driver controls are superb. Cyberpunk 2077 feels amazing. No even interface box it works like jaira is different level in this game. I only wish my dog sense would have back paddles. Or steam controller 2 with touch-sensitive sticks and touchpads and back paddles ❤

I too use it in cyberpunk but I have an issue. Whenever I use gyro on cyberpunk it feels jittery, choppy. I use it only when aiming for small adjustments so it doesn't bother me that much but... Do you happen to experience the same issue?

Try having a low sensitivity in game and a high sensitivity on steam, and/or decrease the deadzones if you are using the new "gyro to mouse" mode.

Are you using the new "gyro to mouse" mode? I noticed a bit of stepping but nothing that a high sens could not fix. Make sure that "movement trashold" is at the lowest value possible.

Yes, but most of the concepts that I talk about in every video also apply to Steam Deck and Steam Controller. The settings are the same. The difference is that you will rely more on the track pads and some exclusive features.

i'm sorry if this is a silly question but how do you have a controller layout icon next to the settings icon when you've selected a game on your steam library? (like the icons right next to the play button, the last played, play time and achievements. (i'm sorry if that sounds confusing)

Mano, infelizmente a Steam tem um suporte bem limitado pra botões traseiros. Além de um kit desses ou um controle próprio, você provavelmente precisaria de um programa extra pra se utilizar dos botões extras. Eu nunca tive um, então não tenho como te ajudar mt além disso. O único q eu sei q funciona é o DualSense Edge, mas ele é mt caro. Recomendo pesquisar por controles com suporte oficial na steam! Boa sorte! Inclusive, quando vc decidir qual controle comprar, pf, comenta aqui o nome do controle q vc escolher! Vlw!

Is it possible to use the same Gyro controller scheme with many different games? Cuz to me it seems like I have to edit the controller layout for each and every game that I want to play with gyro

Every game is different, to make gyro work in one you may need a bunch of action layers, action sets and etc. So until gyro becomes a standard, yes, you need to make a different config for every single game. To make it easier, you can export your config as a layout and use that as a starting point. Also, the new "gyro to mouse" mode makes it easier to translate configs between games.

It's emulating a mouse, it doesn't have autoaim, or aim assist. And even if it did, I wouldn't recommend it because aim assist doesn't feel good with gyro.

Do you have any advice for dealing with the movement caused by pulling the trigger and it causing unintentional gyro movement? I've tried trigger press dampening but that introduces some issues Id rather not deal with.

Other gyro players would suggest you switch your bumper/shoulder buttons with triggers then you'll shoot with RB and it won't move that much

Yeah, now you just need to practice to keep your hands as steady as possible. It's one of the few downsides of gyro aim, unfortunately.

@@FlickStickVids Been using Gyro for about 3 /4 years now, don't have a problem with keeping my hands steady, it's just the second I press the trigger/button it introduces a level of deviation I'm not comfortable with. I've been experimenting with different horizontal sensistivity and trigger press dampening values that may prove beneficial without the usual issues,

It can be hard. For me it was super quick. But some people have trouble understanding it.
