With the manual dots per 360 calibration, you can set it to less than a full turn then click the button as many time as needed to go back to the reference point, then multiply the px value by the number of time you clicked and then divide by the number of actual turns the camera did. If you clicked a lot of times and cannot seem to reach back to the exact same spot, then do a intermediary adjustment and repeat the process, as the error decreases it should increase the precision of the method. With that method you get the exact value.

My dots per 360 seems to be correct given the camera 360 spin button however the gyro sensitivity doesn't seem to be matching up unless I'm misunderstanding what it does. I placed my controller flat horizontally and spun it around when it was 3x and it doesn't end up in the exact position as the 360 button but more so to the right. It does do 3 in game spins. It also can be vertically off although I'm not lifting it noticeably.

@@FlickStickVids World Space seems to be less jittery but that didn't fix the issue. The game is Risk of Rain 2 by the way which I understand is unusual. I don't know if it's related but the mouse-sensitivity website value was a bit off and I had to manually adjust it. Thanks for responding though. DualSense has the best gyro sensor. I always use Players Space orientation. On the left hand corner of the screen, there are my recommended settings for beginners. So my recommendation is to use 2x sensitivity or 3x sensitivity. You can start by choosing a game you want to play, seeing if someone already made a config for it (here's a list with all of my configs: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3266410893) or making a configuration using this guide. And just start playing, it will be a little awkward at first because you will need to re-learn some things, but you will get the hang of it in a couple play sections. I have an issue where I have set up Flick Stick to mouse pixels perfectly so if I'm sweeping my stick a full rotation of the stick translates perfectly to my character in game rotating 360 degrees, however my flicks do not translate perfectly (so flicking to the right will not translate to a 90 degree turn clockwise, flicking down doesn't translate to my character turning 180 degrees), nor does the button bind to turn the camera 360 degrees turn my character 360 degrees. Has anyone else encountered this issue? I have mouse smoothing disabled. Edit: If i move the stick down very slowly i can just about bet a perfect 180 degree turn, but if i flick it quickly it just seems to be random. I've tried playing with the inner and outer deadzone but to no avail. Edit 2: I just changed the "turn camera 360 degrees" button to do the rotation in a second instead of 250 ms and it does the full rotation now. There seems to be a setting in game that is messing with my mouse inputs if the mouse moves too quickly.

@wolverine005 ok, just did a quick search, make sure "direct mouse mode" is active in the settings. If that option is already activated, sometimes while using Flick Stick, after the initial flick, the travel distance to the center will sweep the camera just a tiny bit. In that case, increase the release dampening speed to 10u/s. You can also tighten up the deadzones and lower the sweep tightness. But man, some games will just work better than others, unfortunately, if the devs added these features natively, we would always have better results.

What settings does Splatoon use? Like if I wanted to replicate Splatoon's Gyro aim (TV Play not Handheld) in all my Steam games what should I use as a base?
@FlickStickVids4 ай бұрын
Splatoon has a lot of filters and complicated things going on behind the scenes, so the feeling won't be the exact same, but it uses world space. The sensitivity range is between 2x to 4.25x. and you can max out gyro precision speed to achieve the tiny delay that Splatoon have. You can also add a re-center button. And I didn't have time to mention this, but on the camera tab, there is a third option that, when combined with "reset camera", allows you to re-center the camera exactly like Splatoon, not just re-centering vertically but moving the camera behind your character too!
@JunkerJames4 ай бұрын
@@froinky To approximate Splatoon's Camera, bind your preferred button (typically the west face button for Splatoon) to both "Reset Camera" and also "Face Direction" . These are both found under the "Camera" tab when you bind an activator slot. You'll need to add an activator slot to bind the second command to the same button. You might also want to set your Gyro Activation button to the same button (in the Gyro to Mouse Settings (cog) submenu), and set it to "Suppress Gyro". "Face Direction" turns you to face the last direction you were pushing the left stick in (although you can set it up to use any other direction source - right stick, trackpads, dpad buttons, and even NSEW face buttons)

@JunkerJames4 ай бұрын
Depends on the game! Look to see if there's any options that lock glyphs to controller only (rare) Some games, the flickering is merely annoying. Other games, the flickering will actually tank your frame rate. At that point, you will have to use a pure mouse + keyboard config. Developers are recommended to only change their glyphs to PC ones based on keyboard or mouse button press, and NOT in reaction to mouse movement. But few developers stick to this recommendation. The other _other_ option is to use Gyro to Joystick (Camera) as this will not generate mouse inputs, only joystick inputs. Unfortunately the resulting Gyro aim feel is going to be affected by the game's own deadzone treatments, so this can take a really long time to tune. If you're lucky, some games have really great deadzone options, which let you practically turn off response curves, and turn off deadzones. That's the best case scenario (Halo Infinite would allow this). Most games won't even give you the option to change deadzone size let alone response curves. Basically, if mixed input isn't available, and you need to pick between pure keyboard+mouse or pure gamepad, the former will always you the better game feel, but will sacrifice the correct glyphs.
