the main thing I like about the Spitfire is its recoil in short bursts. Whereas almost anything else in full auto is completely and utterly random, the Spitfire's first few shots are easily controlled. And you can get pretty confident with its performance when you're going kind of slow with it.

I'm telling ya, @Frothy! This weapon is like a god gun in the right hands! I said on an earlier comment, but I used to be TERRIBLE at this game! Always the last or second to last on match scoreboards. But now that I've been watching this channel's videos and have been practicing as I can, I have become very confident with this gun. I've started breaking into the 30 kill/5 or 6 titan kill (with the Archer!) range on Attrition, and I'm starting to be consistent in PVP with 20 or 30 kills to like 5-10 deaths. I use Stim with it, Arc Grenade, Fast Regen and Hover. (Yes, Hover! The only loadout I have found it to be SUPER effective with!) This gun is like a secret God Mode!

Those try hards do a 8 tone stack and rape everything in sight. Tone would be much more manageable if his core wouldn't be a un-dodgable one hit kill(and wouldn't be charged in 3seconds) and his particle wall so massive.

Spitfire can be semiautomatically fired with nearly no recoil if done fast enough. It really trumps most weapons when used like this, however it takes a lpt of getting used to pulling separately on a fully automatic gun

I've been maining the spitfire, I must say I'm very happy with the buff. My setup: Grapple Spitfire (gunrunner, speedloader, iron sights) Mag Launcher (extra ammo, speedloader) Fast Regen, and kill report. Satchel charges I just hit gen 4 so I have to unlock a lot of my old stuff all over again. In my experience this is a good setup for the spitfire, for me anyways.

Been using spitfire as soon as I unlocked it. Just like messing around with it. I'd advise getting a Mozambique or any other pistol that's great close range so you have a plan for that that isn't trying to melee because the hipfire is indeed bad. That leaves you vulnerable to titans of course so I get why a lot of people would dislike this. Personally use arc grenades to compensate and try avoiding titans when using this class

i've found the Spitfire good for ambush tactics, along with cloak and Tactikill. cloak up, find some enemies, kill them, cloak back up again, disappear into the night. (also, i've been using it as a sorta sniper. not too difficult to get a long range kill if you burst fire just right.)

I use it for attrition so I can kill all the adds and still have ammo if a Pilot tries to sneak up on me. And I use hover for air shots. do think it needs to do way more Titan damage though.

What do you think of the Spitfire with A-Wall and Hard Cover? It also may be minuscule, but faster transition to ADS has also benefited me compared to default. Also, I seem to get more consistent ranged kills with higher zoomed scopes and good recoil control or burst firing.

I can't speak as to what the game is like at higher levels of play, but I'm a firmly casual player and I found A-wall complements the spitfire nicely, specifically because the gun works best from static positions, where you get the most use out of your wall.

I am also casual and have come to the same conclusion that tacticals and boosts that compliment ground-ADS play help the spitfire Immensely, Like A-Wall, and even cloak and Holo, work well for the Spitfire. It seems to be a gun to introduce basic FPS mechanics to new players. Aiming, and tracking, as well as not worrying about mobility, hip-firing, or reloading as much seem to be this gun's preferred play-style.

Can you make a guide on how to best use ordnance? A lot of the time I find myself only using my primary weapon and rarely using ordnance. The only time I use ordnance a lot is when I use electric smoke to cover my tracks when I'm playing aggressively.

I mainly use the spitfire and I find that the recoil isn’t half as bad as it seems your making it out to be but that’s just a personal opinion and I have learned to control recoil over time. I respect your opinion Also I suggest if you’re good at grapple use that instead of stim because it gets you around the map quickly and on to higher ledges which is really where it does good damage. Again that’s just my opinion and everyone’s entitled to their own.

my load out for spitfire is cloak, tactikill, gunready and hcog. keep mobile in cloak hunker down occasionally mow down some people and move on. flanks and catching the enemy unaware especially with the large mag and quick couple first shots(unlike devotion) will make this gun shine in your favour. lets be honest here you want to use this gun because everyone bitches about devotion and the L-Star red bubbles of death are recognized a mile away

Still trying to understand why the devotion seems to have the recoil dampener the spitfire used to have in TF1 because once its reved up with hipfire the recoil dies down and it even becomes ever so slightly more accurate as it fires, at least thats what i noticed last time i used it which is as logical as the spitfire losing the recoil dampener.

Melee is realistic for a video game. You have booster jets on your back that propels you at insane speeds, your body has SERIOUS modifications to withstand the movement and punishment of being a pilot. A 24ft melee range and instant kill impact fits perfectly with the crazy mobility.

gareth pelchat trust me I saw hugh level player streams and the G2 is crazy as a long range weapon. Due to the recent devotion and hemlok nerf they are less effective in long ranges so for me currently G2 is the best sniper in the game. And Amped G2 is not fun to play against so it needs a nerf badly.

Mothaship Q an argument for not buffing the G2 is that you have to ads in nearly all engagements. The G2 is pretty strong, but it has weaknesses exploitable by plenty of other guns in the game. it is also tougher to track faster moving targets with the "recoil" while aiming down the sights.

I've asked him about this before on stream. His answer was that if you really want to run warpfall, you basically have to be running phase embark as well or you're at too much of a risk. Warpfall is better for titanfall crush kills but dome shield will always be safer and is never a bad choice.

I use the spitfire all the time. Its my number 1 gun and I can get a good amount of kills with it. I always used it in the original Titan Fall so I'm used to it kicking so much. And the bad things about the gun doesn't even make it harder for me to use. its usually a when I'm having a bad day that I don't do well for this or any of my games.

I've found a lot of success burst firing the spitfire at range. the first four rounds or so have very little recoil compared to mag dumping. I'm pretty sure it was intended this way because it even says to burst in the menu tips. anyone else find this to be a laser when you burst fire?

honestly I pair this weapon with an anti Titan based load out and use it to farm more than anything. I use speed reload and extend mag as perks, the sights are up to you. as a secondary I would suggest the charge rifle with extended amo and charge hack to be able to stay mobile when fighting Titans. I use low profile and cloak for easy batteries before Titanfall and clean shit up in bounty hunt. honestly it's the best way to use the gun and if you can just beat more mobile players in to submission you can top frag all day

I just use Iron sights on all LMGs. Hell, most weapons don't actually need special sights. E.g. The carbine's "Iron sights" are actually pretty good reflex sights.

I've been using it. It works, but I use it for the sound it makes when I use it. Recoil can be heavy, but it works at times. I got used to not reloading. That has left me short at crucial times though, so maybe the habit of reloading is the best. Spraying 80 bullets feels great though. Maybe that's what Spitfire defenders feel makes it the best? I will say I have respect for every pilot who kills me with a Spitfire. Best gun ever, hell no. Not numerically, but it can be fun to use. Though getting taken out by Mastiffs point blank easily and allowing a lot of assists rather than kills at long range. If this weapon gets a but, I'll be well placed to use it.

i use it because it ISNT a devotion while still being a traditional lmg, i usually run smokes and threat scope on the spitfire which is amazing on tight chokepoints like in maps such as drydock or complex. I will agree though that its a very boots on the ground esque weapon which annoys me to no end because i WAS a big smg rushing player but if you give it a chance and play nice and slow with it it's actually quite enjoyable and you wont feel like a scumbag for abusing something like the devotion

This gun murders in Bounty Hunt because you can spray hot lead on AI while saving 20 rounds for enemy pilots that happen to show up. And suppression IS useful in protecting a flag, especially if you're alternating between MGL and Spitfire: most players are NOT going to run into a hail of explosions and bullets to grab a flag.
